Tour Information

Escape the city and indulge in a true Swan River experience. This seven-hour journey combines a leisurely river cruise with a guided coach tour through the heart of the Swan Valley. From gourmet lunch platters on the water to artisan chocolate and wine tastings at world-class vineyards, this tour offers a comprehensive taste of Western Australia’s oldest wine region.

  • Duration: 7 hours (approx.)
  • Location: Departs from Pier 3, Barrack Street Jetty, Perth.
  • Departure Time: 10:00 AM (Please check in 20 minutes prior).
  • Return Time: 5:00 PM.

  • November – March: Departs Wednesday through Sunday.

Morning: The Scenic Journey North

Your day begins on the water as you leave the Perth CBD skyline behind and cruise into the picturesque upper reaches of the Swan River.

  • 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Enjoy a two-hour scenic cruise featuring expert Captain’s commentary on the passing landscape.
  • Wine Tasting: Sample a guided selection of three premium Western Australian wines.
  • Gourmet Lunch: Indulge in a delicious shared gourmet lunch platter served on board, accompanied by a glass of your favourite wine.

Afternoon: Into the Heart of the Valley

Upon arrival in the Swan Valley, you will transition to a comfortable coach operated by Swan Valley Tours for an afternoon of artisanal discovery.

  • Lancaster Wines: Visit this iconic rustic winery for an exquisite wine tasting paired with a shared gourmet cheeseboard.
  • Margaret River Chocolate Company: Visit the valley's famous chocolate outpost to enjoy chocolate tastings and a decadent handmade truffle.
  • 2:40 PM: Reboard your vessel for the relaxing return journey to Perth.

The Return Cruise & Entertainment

The final leg of your journey is designed for total relaxation. As you drift back toward Barrack Street Jetty, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the river.

  • Afternoon Tea: A selection of cakes, tea, and coffee is served on board.
  • Live Entertainment: Enjoy live music to set the mood for your return to the city.
  • Inclusive Beverages: From 3:15 PM, the bar opens for all-inclusive standard wine and beer.

Transportation

Getting to Barrack Street Jetty, Perth
Barrack Street Jetty is only a short stroll from the Perth CBD and is easily accessible by public transport.

Train and Bus

The Elizabeth Quay Train Station and Busport is located 400m from Barrack Street Jetty. Exit the train station/busport on The Esplanade and walk east where you will cross over William Street keep walking until you reach Barrack Street (300m), turn right and head south towards the river (100m) along Barrack Street. Head directly towards the water front by the Bell Tower.

Blue CAT Bus

Take the free CAT bus right to our front door. The blue CAT runs in a north south direction between Barrack Street Jetty (stop 2) and Northbridge all week. Arrival times may vary, you can access live times on the Transperth website.

Ferry

Transperth operates regular ferry services between Elizabeth Quay and Mends Street Jetty (South Perth) all week, perfect for visiting the Perth Zoo.

Parking

You can find a limited number of paid parking bays at Barrack Street Jetty which are available for up to two or three hours at a time. If you need more time at Barrack Street Jetty you can find longer parking options just a short distance away:

Things to Note

  • All per person prices quoted are in Australian dollars
  • Please check in 20 minutes prior to the departure time.
  • Due to the possibility of high-water levels in the Swan River during periods of rainfall, a coach transfer may be necessary for all or part of your journey to/from the Swan River. A coach substitution may be necessary without advance notice, due to circumstances out of our control.
  • Please note that mobility access is limited on all Swan River vessels due to the design and construction of the boats. All travellers with mobility constraints are encouraged to contact our reservations team prior to booking to discuss their specific circumstances.   • Please note: this cruise will be paused from 21 July to 07 August 2025 inclusive. Adult only 18+

If you appear to be overindulging or exhibiting signs of excessive alcohol consumption and start feeling unwell, we will no longer serve alcohol. Our staff should have a good understanding of alcohol, including its effects and impacts, to provide accurate information to guests. Our staff are qualified to monitor your alcohol consumption throughout the entire duration of the event and will promptly remind guests to be mindful of their alcohol intake. Staff have the right to suspend alcohol service if you show signs of intoxication or significant behavioral changes due to alcohol.
