Experience an exciting 90-minute snorkelling adventure in Port Phillip Bay and get up close with playful Australian fur seals in their natural habitat.
Board Bluebird, a purpose-built 7-metre dive vessel, and head into the Port Phillip Heads Marine National Park for an unforgettable wildlife encounter.
All snorkelling equipment is provided, including wetsuits, masks, snorkels, and fins, along with full safety briefing and guidance. No prior snorkelling experience is required.
With a maximum of just 9 guests per tour, this small-group experience offers a more personal and comfortable setting while minimising environmental impact.
Along the way, you may also encounter other marine life, including seabirds and reef fish from the Great Southern Reef ecosystem.
Ideal for individuals, couples, and families who are short on time but still want a high-quality ocean adventure.

Transportation

Things to Note

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD)
  • Itinerary may be adjusted depending on weather and sea conditions
  • Wildlife encounters are not guaranteed and depend on natural conditions
  • No age restriction for this tour; participants have ranged from 2 years old to over 80
  • Children participating in snorkelling will be charged the applicable child fare
  • Prams and strollers are not recommended (please contact in advance if required)
  • Minimum numbers apply: Blue Bird: minimum 3 participants
  • You do not need to be a strong swimmer, but basic swimming ability is required
  • Guests with lower swimming ability are recommended to book a private instructor
  • Children must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer
  • Dolphins are wild animals and sightings are not guaranteed (approx. 80% success rate)
  • All interactions follow strict wildlife protection guidelines
  • Tours operate in relatively sheltered waters; transfers between snorkelling sites are approx. 20 minutes
  • Tours may be cancelled or modified if conditions are unsafe
  • Guests prone to seasickness are advised to take motion sickness medication 30 minutes prior to departure
  • Seasickness bands are available for purchase on site
  • Alcohol consumption is not permitted until all snorkelling activities are completed
  • Sharks exist in Australian waters, but are rarely a concern; no incidents have occurred since operations began in 1996
  • All snorkelling activities are supervised and comply with government safety regulations
  • Light refreshments and drinks (including hot and soft drinks) are provided on board Maureen
  • Please advise any dietary requirements or allergies in advance
  • Wetsuits are available in a wide range of sizes (from age 2 to size 24+)
  • If travelling via ferry from Sorrento, please allow sufficient transfer time
  • Onboard facilities: Blue Bird: no toilet available
  • Check-in is required 15 minutes prior to departure
  • Late arrivals (more than 10 minutes) or no-shows will forfeit the booking with no refund
  • During peak season (December–February), please allow an additional 30 minutes for travel time due to traffic

Cancellation Policy

10% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
