Eco BBQ Boat Hire

Hire a self-drive Mandurah BBQ Boat and be the captain of your own private, eco-friendly mini cruise. Enjoy 360-degree views, explore Mandurah’s stunning waterways and cruise alongside dolphins as you relax with friends over a classic West Aussie barbecue or picnic.

With a doughnut-shaped design, the BBQ Boats feature a central Heston Blumenthal–designed charcoal barbecue and a circular picnic table, creating the perfect setting for chilled socialising. Guests can bring their own drinks and barbecue or picnic food, and all necessary items—tongs, plates, cups, cutlery and napkins—are supplied. A 50-litre esky fits on standard boats, while 10-person vessels accommodate a 70-litre esky.

Powered by whisper-quiet electric motors, the boats are fume-free, environmentally friendly and cruise at a relaxed maximum speed of 5 knots. Glide past Mandurah’s waterfront and glamorous yachts, explore the canals, or anchor at a scenic spot for lunch. A map is provided, and staff are happy to share recommendations for great dining locations with spectacular views.

Things to Note

  • Prices are per person and are listed in AUD.
  • Please arrive at the designated location 20 minutes prior to departure, as the tour will depart on time.
  • We recommend bringing a camera, sunhat, sunscreen and sunglasses. Comfortable clothing with a warm top is suggested, as it can get cool on the water.
  • If you suffer from motion sickness, please take appropriate medication before arriving at the meeting point.
  • No smoking is permitted onboard any Mandurah Cruises vessels or on the departure jetty.
  • This tour is not wheelchair accessible.

BYO Drinks

Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks for their BBQ Boat experience. There is space for a 50-litre esky on standard-size BBQ Boats and a 70-litre esky on the 10-person BBQ Boats.

Like driving a car, the skipper is responsible for the safety of the boat and its passengers. For this reason, it is recommended that the skipper sticks to soft drinks. The skipper must remain under the legal limit of 0.05 blood alcohol concentration. Please drink responsibly.
