Swan River Seaplanes offer an attentive, personalised service onboard their seaplanes. Take off from the Swan River in this state-of-the-art amphibious plane for an uninterrupted aerial view of Perth, Kings Park and Western Australia's incredible coastline. Your professional pilot will provide fascinating insight as you fly towards Rottnest Island.

The 20 minute flight from Perth includes a scenic figure eight fly over Rottnest Island for a spectacular view of the island from the sky. Once you arrive at Wadjemup / Rottnest Island, plan your own itinerary or choose from our range of on island experiences for an unforgettable day. Take the return SeaLink Rottnest Island ferry back to Perth or Fremantle.

Our Rottnest Island Fly+Ferry combo gives you the best of both worlds.

Flexible options enable you to enjoy spectacular Rottnest Island flights with a return journey by ferry with Sealink. Ferry/fly options are also available and you can choose a same-day combination or book across different dates.

Our Seaplane Fly/Ferry combo means Rottnest Island is a short 20-minute hop away from your departure point at Queen Street jetty in South Perth. Enjoy a unique water take-off in our state-of-the-art Cessna Caravan with panoramic views over the city, Fremantle and Cottesloe Beach before our experienced pilots take you on a low level circumnavigation over Rotto’s spectacularly beautiful bays and beaches.

At the end of the day or at the end of your stay, simply ferry back in comfort to B-Shed in Fremantle or Barrack Street in the Perth CBD.
This flexible travel option between Perth and Rottnest gives you a seaplane flight experience of a lifetime combined with a convenient ferry return.

If you would prefer to return from Rottnest Island by seaplane, you can select the Ferry+Fly option when making your booking.

Rottnest Island flights leave South Perth at 9.00am and 10:00am with prices from $234 per person (returning to B-shed Fremantle) or $260 per person (returning to Barrack St). Flights leave Rottnest Island at 3:00pm and 4:00pm.

Prices are per person and valid for travel 1 April 2023 to 30 JUN 2024, for other dates please enquire.
Tour participants must arrive 25 minutes before departure for seaplane/ferry loading requirements and passenger boarding. Due to loading requirements, check-in will close 30 minutes before departure, and boarding will end 15 minutes before departure. Rottnest Fast Ferries reserves the right to refuse passengers from boarding for not complying with the above check-in and boarding times.

Seaplane/Ferry - Each passenger (excluding infants) is entitled to 1 x carry-on item no larger than than 500mm x 300mm x 250mm and 7kg (Baggage policy need to be reconfirm subject to availability or aircraft conditon or weather )
The price is per person for those aged 2 years and older. Infants under 2 years old are free of charge but do not have assigned seats; they should be held by an adult.
If passengers are checking in luggage, you will be required to check in at the ticketing office first to collect your luggage tags
If you would prefer to return from Rottnest Island by seaplane, you can select the Ferry+Fly option when making your booking. (If you like to quote Fly and Fly both seaplane transit need extra charge )
