  • Departure from Hobart will be around 6:30-7 am. The duration of the tour is around 10.5 hours, so you will return around 5 pm.

The day begins on Bruny Island with a scenic walk along the Cape Queen Elizabeth Trail, one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks. Rather than completing the entire track, the route leads to Mars Bluff, Miles Beach, and a series of striking rock formations before looping back.

The first 30–40 minutes of the walk is an easy stroll along a wide, sandy track through coastal heathland, passing between Big Lagoon and Little Lagoon, which are home to a variety of native water birds. A short 10-minute climb over Mars Bluff offers beautiful elevated views of the coastline, before descending onto Miles Beach. There is time to explore the dramatic rock formations, photograph the natural arch, and enjoy morning tea in this tranquil setting. The return walk covers approximately 6 kilometres over mostly flat terrain and is rated as an easy coastal walk.

The next destination is The Neck, a narrow isthmus connecting North and South Bruny Island. This iconic landmark features the Truganini Lookout, reached via 279 stairs. From the top, panoramic views stretch across the island and its surrounding waters. Down below, penguin burrows can often be spotted tucked among the sand dunes.

From The Neck, the journey continues past historical landmarks such as Two Tree Point, Resolution Creek, and Coal Point, eventually arriving at Adventure Bay. This is the main township on Bruny Island and serves as a lunch stop. There is time to relax on the beach, enjoy a picnic, or dine at the Bruny Island Cruises Seafood Restaurant, a beautifully located venue right by the water.

The afternoon is dedicated to tasting the island’s world-class artisan produce. Stops include:

  • Bruny Island Chocolate Company – Handmade cream fudges and award-winning chocolate

  • Bruny Island Honey – Free tastings of locally harvested honey and a chance to sample honey ice cream

  • Bruny Island Cheese Co. – A renowned cheesemaker and brewery offering cellar door tastings

  • Get Shucked Oyster Farm – Freshly harvested oysters from the pure waters of Great Bay

After a day filled with natural beauty, local history, and gourmet delights, the tour concludes with a return to Hobart around 5:00 PM.

  • Any prices listed are in the currency of the Australian dollar (AUD) and are per person.
  • The vehicles used will be Toyota Commuter & Toyota Coaster vehicles. These seat a maximum of 13 and 20 passengers respectively.
  • Children under 8 years are not permitted to travel. Our tours are designed as full active days of fast paced travel, we are also at times exposed to the outdoor conditions of the day.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 3days. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
