Discover the world's largest sand island on a one-day 4WD adventure. Led by an experienced local guide, you’ll see Fraser Island's iconic sights on a curated itinerary of highlights such as Lake McKenzie, World Heritage-listed rainforest, 75 Mile Beach, Eli Creek and the historic Maheno Shipwreck.

CENTRAL STATION

A former logging station that housed schools and shops for the bustling timber industry is now a tourist stop. Stroll along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk to discover the ancient King Ferns, towering Flooded Gums and Pine trees.

LAKE MCKENZIE (BOORANGOORA)

K'gari's most iconic, picture-perfect swimming spot! Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear blue fresh water and relax on the sandy white beaches.

75 MILE BEACH

As you travel along this golden beach highway, you may spot dingoes, birds of prey flying above, or humpback whales, migrating down the coast (between July – October).

ELI CREEK

Float gently down this tranquil, tree-lined creek with four million litres of fresh water flowing into the Pacific Ocean every hour.

MAHENO SHIPWRECK

Marvel at the rustic wreck of the Maheno, which washed ashore during an out-of-season cyclone in 1935. It’s one of K’gari’s most recognisable sites.

THE PINNACLES COLOURED SANDS

Learn about these radiant, cliff-like sand formations and the Indigenous Dreamtime stories that surround them. Get up close and experience the spectacular 72 shades of rare red, orange and yellow sands.

PLUS - Take your adventure to new heights, with an optional scenic flight with Air Fraser, and witness the world’s largest sand island from above. It’s the perfect add-on to your tour! Subject to weather and availability. (Additional cost applies)

At the end of the day, you’ll return to Rainbow Beach with a complimentary drop-off at one of our select locations.

DEPARTURE:

Rainbow Beach is a perfect spot for a beach holiday and ideally situated next to the world’s largest sand island, so why not make the most of this exceptional location with a day trip to the world K’gari ( Fraser Island)? The adventure begins with a pick Rainbow Beach or by self-- up from your select locations in driving to our departure location. You’ll arrive at Inskip Point (7.45am) for a the southern tip of K’gari

Rainbow Beach:

Self-Driving: Rainbow Beach is approximately 3 hours by car north of Brisbane. 1.5 hours south of Hervey Bay and 2 hours north of Sunshine Coast. Meet your guide at 36 Rainbow Beach Road for a prompt departure.
Courtesy Transfers: If you require a courtesy transfer from select locations in Rainbow Beach, please enter your pick-up location at the time of booking.
Meet up point : Tourist Information Centre Rainbow Beach : 6 Rainbow Beach Rd, Rainbow Beach QLD 4581 ( If you do not need Rainbow Beach Downtown Hotel Transfer)

Rainbow Beach: Tours depart daily from Rainbow Beach (via Inskip Point).

At the end of the day, you’ll return to Rainbow Beach by approximately 6:00pm (courtesy drop-offs to select Rainbow Beach locations by 6:30pm).
