A WORLD HERITAGE-LISTED WONDER

From your island resort, simply step onto the beach and snorkel or dive to explore the mesmerising outer reef. Out permanently moored pontoon provides a range of activities, including snorkelling, scuba diving, heli-scenic flights and semi-submarine tours.

Taking a cruise ship to take a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef at sea is the main way for guests to visit the Great Barrier Reef. Guests can manage their own time at sea and focus on the free activities. Whitsunday Cruises' one-day trip to the outer barrier reef Reef World allows you to take a luxury cruise ship to a man-made floating platform on the Great Barrier Reef, where you can swim, use snorkelling equipment for free, ride a semi-submarine for free, and go to the underwater observation room. Enjoy a buffet lunch and afternoon tea.

There are two offshore floating platforms (Reef World) located in two different coral reef areas. You'll visit one of them, but no matter which floating platform you go to, you can appreciate the wonder and beauty of the coral world. The high-end floating platforms have rest areas and many exciting water sports. The floating platform also has tables and chairs under an awning, a deck for sunbathing, fresh water showers and changing rooms. You can also board an air-conditioned cruise ship at any time to feel the comfort and coolness in the cabin. There are endless ways to explore the coral world. You can watch it from the underwater observation deck, take a semi-submersible boat to explore the seabed, or snorkel like a fish and get up close and personal with the corals!

The underwater observation deck with a 360-degree panoramic view of the seabed is fascinating and you can linger there as much as you want. It also has informative posters, photos and names of various fish species. Add some excitement to your trip with our value-loaded package. Enjoy activities (not included in default ticket) such as 10-minute helicopter tours, diving, sea walking, water jets and more! Itinerary

  • 07:30: Check-in, exchange tickets and board the ship (Port of Airlie boarding)
  • 08:00: Depart Airlie Beach ~ Port of Airlie
  • 11:30: Arrive at Knuckle Reef and Hardy Reef floating platforms, and spend 4 hours on Hardy Reef.
  • 15:30: Sailing back
  • 18:10: Return to the pier

Visitors from Airlie Beach will also pass through the Whitsunday Marine National Park on their way to Whitehaven Beach

This pristine beach boasts crystal-clear waters and soft, white sand stretching for over 7 kilometres.

Unwind on the beach, swim in the azure waters, or explore the surrounding area by stand-up paddleboard (SUP).

    • You can book a 10-minute helicopter tour on the same day to enjoy the beauty of Love Reef, starting from $150 per person

  • Airlie Beach - Make your way to Port of Airlie (24 The Cove Road, Airlie Beach) or you can pre-book the Bus (transfer fee applied).
  • Hamilton Island - Make your way to Hamilton Island Marina, or you can take a free Island Bus
  • Day Dream Island - Short Walk to Airlie Beach Pier

  • All prices are in AUD.
  • Snorkeling activities are subject to water conditions
  • Those who participate in Intro Dive who do not have a diving card/license are still allowed to bring a waterproof camera, but the onsite instructor can determine whether or not the guest is qualified to do so. The instructor will base the decision on the guests' condition, skills, proficiency, experience, stability, and confidence and the final decision will be made by them. Guests are asked to consider if they want to take the camera into the water (all snorkelling activities allow you to take a camera into the water)
  • All water activities like diving, underwater walking, or other activities will need you to fill in a health examination form on the day. You can ask the staff to get a form. Unfortunately, if you are not healthy on the day, you may not be able to do those activities on the day.
  • To use the backpacker discount price, you must meet the following qualifications:
    1. Each passenger must hold a valid YHA International Youth Card/ISIC International Student ID Card/NOMANDS/BASE
    2. Stay in a backpacker hotel or Campervan Park (you must show your room card at the pier that day)
    3. The age limit is 18-35 years old. The staff will conduct checks on the day

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).

    性价比非常高的行程套餐，预定之前，特别感谢工作人员Yuna贴心周到的讲解，帮我们设计性价比最高的路线跟安排。
    我们白天堂沙滩是下午去的，完全可以睡到自然醒，并且根大堡礁行程隔了一天，正好可以利用那天休息调整一天。不会感觉太赶跟疲惫。
