Room Type 1: Curringa in the Village

Curringa in the Village is a newly added accommodation option at Curringa Farmstay, located on a quiet back street in Hamilton, just 3 km from the main farm. It is an ideal overnight stop for travellers driving from Strahan to Hobart, helping to break up the 4.5-hour journey. The property is also only 30 minutes from Mt Field National Park and Russell Falls, and close to local wineries, distilleries, and fruit orchards. This is a perfect base for exploring Tasmania’s Southwest Wilderness and the Central Highlands regions.

The award-winning farmstay is nestled within native bushland overlooking the picturesque Lake Meadowbank, just one hour from Hobart and near the famous Mt Field National Park. The accommodation is rated to an equivalent 4.5 to 5-star standard, featuring:

  • Freestanding bathtub or spa bath
  • Double shower
  • Private outdoor deck
  • Gas BBQ
  • Fully equipped kitchen

Guests can enjoy close encounters with free-grazing sheep right outside their cottages, and join guided farm tours to learn more about the history and operations of this expansive working farm.

Room Type 2: Romantic Studios

These four individually designed boutique studio suites each have their own unique character and atmosphere. They are perfect for couples looking for a quiet, child-free getaway and a relaxing weekend escape.

All four studios are modern, warm, and inviting. The Seagle Studio features an indoor spa bath, while the other studios offer either a double walk-in shower or a freestanding bathtub, giving you space to unwind and truly relax.

Whether you are stopping overnight during a journey to the West Coast, or planning to stay for a few days to slowly explore the surrounding region, this is the perfect place to settle in and recharge.

Each studio is approximately 50㎡ and fully equipped, featuring a King bed (extra bedding can be arranged for children). Simple, comfortable, and just right for taking life at a slower pace.

Room Type 3: Deluxe 2-Room Cottages

These three family-style cottages are elegantly furnished and designed for comfort. Each cottage features one King bed + two single beds, along with two bathrooms, offering convenience and privacy for families or small groups.

Located in a quiet area of the farm, each cottage is set with generous spacing from the next, ensuring a peaceful and private stay.

This is an excellent choice for guests planning to stay multiple nights or enjoy a relaxing break with friends and family. During summer, guests can bring their own boat for lake activities; and throughout the year, Lake Meadowbank offers great fishing opportunities for salmon and trout.

Every cottage is equipped with a Gas BBQ, and guests may also enjoy the boat ramp and picnic areas by the lakeside — perfect for slow mornings, outdoor meals, and time spent together in nature.

Room Type 4: Farmhouse Cottages

Over the Back Cottage

This is a warm and character-filled family cottage, built in 1984 and thoughtfully renovated over the years to retain its rustic charm while remaining cozy and comfortable.

The room layout features one Queen bed + three Single beds, along with a spa bathroom and walk-in shower — ideal for families with children, or for adults to unwind and enjoy a slow, relaxing bath.

The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. In summer, the air-conditioning keeps the space cool; in winter, light the wood fireplace and enjoy the simple warmth of being together — no rush, no schedule, just time well spent.

Perfect for parents traveling with three children, or families who want a holiday where the focus isn’t on doing more, but on being together.

Curringa Farmhouse Cottage

Located in the heart of the farm, this spacious farmhouse cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests, making it ideal for large families, two families traveling together, or a group of friends.

The layout includes 4 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms, along with a large and practical family kitchen and a charming outdoor area with a garden atmosphere.

Compared to the scenic standalone cottages, this farmhouse offers a more home-like, functional, and easygoing environment. It is close to the café and the farm animal activity areas, so children can explore, see animals, and play without needing to be driven anywhere. If you prefer a relaxed, low-pressure, “live like this” style of holiday, this is the perfect fit.

Whether you are traveling with kids, adventuring with friends, cycling through the region, or staying for a longer slow-paced visit, this cottage gives you that comforting “just like home” feeling.
