Taronga Zoo is a zoo located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Taronga Zoo opened on October 7, 1916 and is divided into eight areas covering an area of approximately 21 hectares. Taronga Zoo has 400 species and more than 4,000 animals in the zoo.
It is divided into ten major animal species, covering continental rare animals and marine life in Australia, Africa and Asia. The zoo has more than 20 animal performances every day. Taronga Zoo is the best place to see the rare animals of this ancient continent. It is the first-class exhibition place of Australian animals. Come and explore our latest Tasmanian Devil exhibit, see the unique platypus or see the cute little wallaby. Just pick up a Wild Australia map upon entry and you'll see them all.
The famous Taronga Zoo bird show is one of your “must see” attractions. The exhibition hall overlooks Sydney Bay and displays many of the most exotic birds in the world. You will feel the birds whistling overhead and learn about their living habits in the wild.
This is one of the most popular shows! Taronga Zoo's seal show is a fun and exciting one. The seals swim up and down in the water, displaying agile performances that will open your eyes. This performance is dynamic and full of surprises, making learning about marine life entertaining and educational.
Camp in safari style tents in the zoo and enjoy the spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. Guests will enjoy refreshments and nibbles at our beautiful harbour-side campsite. After settling into tents, guests will enjoy a delicious buffet dinner before a walk through the zoo on a night safari – an opportunity to experience the zoo with only an small group of fellow Roar & Snore guests. Guests can wake up to the noises of the animals greeting the day followed by a continental breakfast and two exclusive interactive keeper experiences.

A free Taronga shuttle will operate during school holidays between the Taronga Ferry Wharf and the main top zoo entrance, along Bradley's Head Road.

Times: The shuttle service will operate from 9.15am till 4:00pm daily, in line with arriving and departing ferries
Cost: Free if you have a zoo ticket, free for Wildlife Retreat guests, and free for Function Centre guests
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible via electric ramp (up to 4 wheelchairs). Prams are encouraged to be folded where possible.
Passengers can change at Circular Quay train station and join the ferry to Taronga Zoo Sydney
Parking is available at Taronga Zoo Sydney, with entry from Bradley's Head Road. The all-day parking rate is $22. For guests entering prior to 4.00pm, the parking is a flat rate of $22 for the whole day, or free if entering and exiting within 90 minutes.
Please note: there is no 90-minute grace period after 4.00pm.

Please note limited coach parking is available at Taronga Zoo Sydney.
There are seven bus bays near the security portal that have been reserved to accommodate the increasing numbers of private buses & coaches that require parking. Entry is via Whiting Beach Road.
Bus & coach drivers are encouraged to safely set down passengers at the dedicated bus bays along Bradley's Head Road before parking their vehicle at the seven bus bays near the security portal. All bus bays are available on a first in, first served basis.
NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
