Immerse yourself in the ancient beauty of Kata Tjuta. Begin your day with a mesmerizing sunrise, then join your knowledgeable guide on a journey through the Valley of the Winds. As you wander through the towering domes, you'll uncover fascinating stories of the land's geological past and cultural significance.

Valley of the Winds Hike

The Valley of the Winds was the inspiration for the legendary Master Hayao Miyazaki's film,  "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind." Be the first to enter the hiking area immediately after the scenic sunrise and join your guide on the challenging 5.4 km walk to Karingana's second lookout and admire the view directly to the central core of this sacred rock formation.

Children and teenagers under 18 years go free, making it even easier for families to visit this world-renowned icon. Adult (18 years and over)  $38.00 for 3 days

Departs : 95 minutes prior to sunrise from Ayers Rock Resort
Returns : 5 hrs approximately after sunrise

  • Please have a Day Pack ready to go which includes the following items - Appropriate walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, warm jacket during the cooler months & a minimum of 1 litre of water.
  • What to Bring :
    • Flynet in summer months (optional but highly recommended)
    • Sunglasses, sunscreen and hat
    • Warm layers in cooler months
    • Sturdy walking shoes (Shows with heels, sandals, flip-flops or open toe shoes are not permitted)
    • Water bottle to hold 1.5 litres

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 7days. No refund if cancel within 7days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
