Description

Explore Sydney on the magnificent Southwinds sailing yacht Our beautiful sailing yacht, Southwinds, has an impressive English design pedigree and past. Designed by Robert Clark in 1948, her original plans are now in the Museum in Greenwich and her specifications registered with Lloyds. Constructed with beautiful Huon Pine and launched in 1950, she would have been one of the fastest and largest yachts in Sydney Harbour at that time. The deck area comprises a massive top deck with dining table and seating, and plenty space for guests to relax and enjoy the scenic wonders of Sydney.

  • Southwinds is fully licensed. We can take care of the arrangements for food and drink or you can BYO.
  • Want to experience offshore sailing? We can take up to 12 guests offshore.  (However, Sailing within Sydney Harbour can accommodate up to 22 guests.)
  • Worried about the boat leaning over – don’t worry, we can adjust the experience based on your preference

  • Travel time: 20–30 minutes
  • Walk 5 minutes from the wharf to Manly Sailing

🚶 Walking Route

  • Follow the waterfront path after exiting Manly Wharf
  • Search “Manly Sailing” on Google Maps for precise location

🚗 Driving (Not Recommended)

  • Limited parking in Manly, usually high cost
  • Public transport is the easiest option

Things to Note

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD)
  • Sailing route and anchorage are subject to weather and sea conditions
  • Offshore sailing is subject to weather conditions and guest numbers
  • If you are concerned about the yacht heeling, the sailing experience can be adjusted for comfort
  • Guests are recommended to bring sunscreen, swimwear, towels, and personal items
  • Charter duration and wharf locations must be confirmed in advance and are subject to final arrangements

Cancellation Policy

25% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 14days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
