ELITE ENCOUNTERS : Beach, Dunes & Dolphins
Cruise the sheltered waters of Port Stephens on Envision. With resident bottlenose dolphins often swimming alongside, every seat has uninterrupted views.
Afterwards, continue the adventure on land with a Beach & Dune Tour, exploring Birubi Beach and the vast Stockton Sand Dunes. Try sandboarding, wander the shifting dunes, and take in stunning views where the dunes meet the sea.

Dolphin Cruise

  • Duration: 1.5 Hours for Dolphin cruise 
  • Times: Departs daily at 10:30 am & 1:30 pm all year round (extra cruise at 3:30 pm during all school holidays except Winter)

This cruise has a very high success rate in dolphin sightings, boomnet rides, entertaining and informative commentary and scenic harbour cruises including spectacular Tomaree and Yacaaba headlands.

This cruise offers an exceptional opportunity for guests to witness the playful and intelligent nature of dolphins. Additionally, guests can enjoy the thrill boom netting ride. Throughout the cruise, knowledgeable and entertaining commentary is provided, enhancing the overall experience for guests.

The cruise also offers a picturesque view of the harbour, including the awe-inspiring Tomaree and Yacaaba headlands, a truly memorable and scenic journey.

4wd Beach & Dune with Sandboarding

Regular active hours:
Morning: 10:00 am, 11:30 am
Afternoon: 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm

The beach and dune tour is designed to give you a taste of our spectacular Birubi beach, with our Sandboarding Adventure. This backdrop allows for amazing photos and brief commentary from the guides about the beach. They also show you the local Pipis, and how to wiggle and find them. After our beach component, drive up into the dunes for an unlimited Sandboarding Adventure on the largest moving coastal sand mass in the Southern Hemisphere. Not only do we offer fun, exciting and safe family-orientated sandboarding adventures (our most popular activity!) on top of the highest dunes, but we also offer beach and dune tours to Tin City, and educational tours for school students. Port Stephens 4WD Tours is a fully accredited 4WD tour operator and our staff are passionate about showcasing the Stockton Sand Dunes to everyone!
All vehicles are accommodated by a friendly driver who is qualified and complies with Ministry of Transport requirements. The driver holds a Senior First Aid certificate and has endless knowledge and experience with the sand dune ecosystem at Stockton Beach.

You can meet us at the lower carpark of Birubi Beach – located at the end of James Paterson St, Anna Bay NSW 2316. Once you reach the lower car
park, come and meet our team at the RED beach office & RED buses.
* Please note the lower car park is paid parking. If you choose to park your vehicle, you will need to pay onsite at the parking meters installed by Port Stephens Council. Port Stephens 4WD Tours take no responsibility for the payment / supervision of tour vehicles.

 

Things to Note

  • All prices include GST and National Parks levy per person
  • We operate rain, hail or shine.
  • NO stand-up sandboarding will be allowed.
  • 4WD Tours (1.5hr Beach & Dune, Private Charters, Educational Tours & Seniors Adventure tours) are not recommended for pregnant women. If you are pregnant, please let our staff know before boarding a 4WD vehicle.
  • You must be a competent swimmer for this cruise
  • This is an offshore cruise and is not suitable for children 4 years and under
  • This is an offshore excursion and is subject to weather and sea condition
  • We can supply masks, fins & snorkels – or you are invited to bring your own.
  • You can hire a full set of snorkel gear and a wetsuit from Let's Go Dive - mention Aquamarine Adventures to receive a discount.
