Journey to Mantaray Island Resort for the chance to swim with these majestic creatures that frequent a particular channel on select dates from May to October.
A bucket list experience!

Description

Departing Port Denarau, you’ll board our high-speed catamaran bound for the Yasawa Islands. Cruise through the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands (around 3 hours each way) as we drop off/pick up guests from resorts along the way before disembarking at Mantaray Island Resort.

Timings Following a briefing, you’ll board tender boats and be taken out to have the chance to swim and snorkel (buoyancy aids are available for less confident swimmers) amongst the manta rays while they glide throughout this popular feeding ground. Lunch is provided at Mantaray Island Resort before our vessel collects you again at 2.40pm for your return journey to Port Denarau.

Manta Ray Experience Schedule:

  • Depart Port Denarau: 8:45am
  • Arrive Mantaray Island Resort: 11:35am
  • Depart Mantaray Island Resort: 2:55pm
  • Arrive Port Denarau: 6:00pm

Seeing manta ray We work with the experienced team at Mantaray Island Resort to carefully choose dates according to various environmental factors that offer a higher chance of manta ray sightings in the ‘manta channel’ but manta rays are wild creatures and as such are on their own schedule. If they are not in the channel on the day of your trip, you will experience one of Fiji’s most vibrant tropical reefs, via a guided snorkelling trip, which is home to an abundance of starfish, anemones, reef sharks, morays, octopus, and butterfly fish, an amazing experience in itself.

Food and Drinks A delicious lunch at the ‘Manta Pizza Shack’ and a soft drink or water are included in your day trip and additional drinks can be purchased at the resort. If you require a vegetarian option, please specify in the ‘special requirements’ box when you go through the booking process.

Captains Lounge

*Captains Lounge Pass provides access to the private Captains Lounge that seats up to 60 people, with a designated onboard host with complimentary snacks, bottled water, coffee, soft drinks, house wine, and local beer to enjoy during your journey.

  • Return scenic vessel transfers from/to Port Denarau on our high-speed catamaran with air-conditioned lounge, open air decks, and free Wi-Fi
  • All snorkelling equipment and buoyancy aids if required
  • Guided manta ray experience or a reef snorkelling experience with specialised guides

Things to Note

  • Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • The itinerary may change depending on weather, sea conditions, currents, tides, and manta ray movements.
  • Manta rays are wild animals; sightings cannot be guaranteed. A guided reef snorkel will be provided if manta rays are not present.
  • Guests must follow guide instructions and avoid touching or chasing manta rays.
  • Buoyancy aids are available for less confident swimmers.
  • Reef-safe sunscreen is recommended to protect marine life.
  • Keep personal belongings secure; FIT Travel and the operator are not responsible for loss or damage.
  • Peak manta season (May–October) sells out early; advance booking is recommended.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 7days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
