Optional Departures and Returns
Optional departures and returns are available from the following locations: Brisbane (Redcliffe Airport), Gold Coast (Coolangatta Airport), Hervey Bay Airport, Bundaberg Airport, and 1770 (Agnes Water).
The base tour price applies to departures from Hervey Bay, Bundaberg Airport, and 1770.
For departures from Brisbane or Gold Coast airports, an additional surcharge of $475 per adult and $289 per child applies, as outlined in the price list.
Day 1: Arriving at Lady Elliot Island Resort
Lady Elliot Island is located on the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, 80km northeast of Bundaberg, just to the north of Fraser Island.
Taking a small plane from Brisbane/Gold Coast/Bundaberg Airport, you will arrive at the Great Barrier Reef, enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery of Queensland along the way. With a guide to introduce the stunning Lady Elliot Island, visitors can observe the underwater scenery from a glass-bottom boat and snorkel alongside a guide to observe the natural ecology of the Great Barrier Reef.
Departing from Brisbane/Gold Coast:
- 06:30: Shuttle pick-up from Brisbane City Hotels or Gold Coast City Hotels (shuttle fee not included, self-driving to the airport is also possible)
- 07:15: Boarding at Brisbane Redcliffe Airport
- 06:45: Boarding at Gold Coast COOLANGATTA Airport
- 08:45: Arrival at Lady Elliot Island
- 09:00: Island guided tour/assisted snorkelling by a dedicated guide on a glass-bottom boat.
Free activities:
- Assisted snorkelling with a dedicated guide
- Afternoon free leisure time, guided walking tour on the coral beach (during low tide only)
- Guided bird-watching tour (seasonal)
- Guided search for turtle nests and bird nests (seasonal)

After a day of activities, enjoy a hearty dinner and then relax at the hotel or take a stroll on the beach to admire the beautiful starry sky.
Day 2: Breakfast → Island Exploring at Your Own Pace → Return Home
Wake up comfortably at the Lady Elliot Island Resort, enjoying a leisurely morning with the sounds of jungle birds. Indulge in a hearty self-service breakfast and spend the entire day freely engaging in island activities such as snorkelling or beach swimming. Explore the island at your own pace, immerse yourself in the beautiful marine environment once again, and snorkel alongside a guide to appreciate the natural ecology of the Great Barrier Reef.
- 14:30: Depart from Lady Elliot Island
- 16:00: Return to Brisbane Airport
- 16:45 - 17:15: Shuttle transfer back to Gold Coast or Brisbane city hotels (shuttle fee not included, alternative transportation arrangements can be made)

Accommodation
Eco Cabin - Sleeps four (13 Cabins)
Situated within a 20 to 30-meter walk from the Lagoon, our newly upgraded Eco Cabins have solid walls, louvres for maximum airflow, a large front glass sliding door and shared bathroom facilities. The Eco Cabins sleep up to 4 adults, and the Eco Family Cabin (1 only) sleeps up to 5 adults. Lighting and power points are available in every cabin, as well as a ceiling fan. The deck is furnished with two chairs for added relaxation.
Garden Units & Accessibility Rooms - Sleeps two or four (9 Units)
Situated within a 20 to 30-meter walk from the Lagoon, the Garden Units are arranged in blocks of three and are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen and bunk-style beds. Each unit features polished timber floors, ensuite bathrooms and a balcony set amongst the resort gardens to make the most of the resort views. The units are fan-cooled and have a mini fridge and tea and coffee-making facilities. Three (3) of the nine (9) Garden Units have been designed as accessibility rooms to cater to the specialised needs of wheelchair users or guests with mobility issues. With an access ramp and larger bathrooms featuring wheel-in showers and handrails. For more information on our accessible rooms, please ask one of our friendly team members, who will be happy to assist in making your accessible holiday dreams come true on the Great Barrier Reef.
Reef Units - Sleeps two or four (15 Units)
Located approximately 10 meters from the beautiful Coral Cay Lagoon, the Reef Units are the closest resort rooms to the Beachfront Dining Room. Arranged in blocks of three, they are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen and bunk-style beds. Each unit features polished timber floors, ensuite bathrooms and a balcony to make the most of the island surroundings. The units are fan-cooled and have a mini fridge and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Glamping Tents - Sleeps two adults (2 tents)
Only meters from the Lagoon, immerse yourself in our exclusive and spacious Glamping Tents set amongst our native coral cay vegetation. Glass sliding doors open up to a large deck where you can enjoy the surrounding environment, including nesting seabirds (in season) and nesting turtles (in season). The Glamping Tents accommodate up to two adults (queen beds) and are ideal for couples with an ensuite and private balcony. Each tent is fan-cooled with a mini fridge and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Two Bedroom Beachfront Units - Sleeps four (5 Units)
Offering absolute beach frontage, the spacious two-bedroom Beachfront Units accommodate up to four people and feature a separate air-conditioned lounge room and private bathroom. The two-bedroom Beachfront Units have a private balcony surrounded by the island’s native flora. Each unit has a mini-fridge and tea and coffee facilities. In season, Red-tailed Tropicbirds and Green and Loggerhead turtles nest (at your doorstep), providing an immersive nature-based experience.

Transport Information

Small aircraft shuttle service to and from Lady Elliot Island is included.

Guests departing from Brisbane (Redcliffe Airport) or the Gold Coast (Coolangatta Airport) must check in at the airport independently. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

Optional round-trip hotel-to-airport transfers are available at an additional cost—please refer to the price list for details.

Guests may arrange their own transport to the departure airport via Uber, self-driving, or private charter (please note private charters are more expensive; inquire for pricing).

Bundaberg Airport: Check in at the Lady Elliot Island/QantasLink counter.

Things to Note
- All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
- A minimum of two participants is required to confirm this itinerary.
- A surcharge applies for single-participant bookings. Children under 3 years old may join for free.
- Children aged 3 to 12 years may share a room with two adults without requiring a separate bed. If an extra or separate bed is needed, please contact our Customer Service team for pricing.
- The quoted base price is per person based on double, triple, or quadruple occupancy.
- We recommend booking at least 10 business days in advance to ensure better availability and arrangements.
- Group sizes and accommodations are subject to limited availability during peak seasons, weekends, and school holiday periods.
- If your preferred hotel is unavailable, we may offer an alternative hotel or a room upgrade.
- We reserve the right to adjust accommodation pricing before ticket issuance.
- If the adjusted price is higher than originally quoted, you may choose to accept the new price or request a refund. No changes can be made once tickets are issued.
- The tour guide may adjust the order of the itinerary due to weather, road conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Optional activities and attraction tickets are not mandatory and are at your own expense.
Luggage & On-Island Services
- Carry-on and overnight luggage is limited to 15 kg per person. Storage is either in small overhead compartments or on your lap; there is no space under the seats or traditional overhead bins.
- Excess baggage is charged at $14 per kg.
- Beach huts are available for rent at $20 per day (bookable directly at the resort).
- A single occupancy surcharge of $99 per night applies for solo travellers (subject to confirmation).
Peak Season Notes
- During Australian public holidays and school vacations, a minimum stay of 3 days and 2 nights may be required
- During the peak season (23 December to 2 January), a minimum stay of 4 days and 3 nights applies.
- Please contact Customer Service to confirm total package pricing.
- The 3-day, 2-night package includes one extra full day of island activities, breakfast, dinner, snorkelling equipment, and free on-island activities.

Cancellation Policy
15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 30days.
