Schedule time

This tour operates on Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday (excluding Christmas Day).

From Adelaide City (16-hour tour):

  • Departs: 6:45 AM from selected Adelaide CBD hotels or Adelaide Central Bus Station.
  • Returns: 10:30 PM to Adelaide.

From Cape Jervis:

  • Departs: 9:00 AM.
  • Returns: 8:15 PM.

From Kangaroo Island (for guests staying on the island):

  • Seafront Hotel, Penneshaw: Departs 10:15 AM, Returns 6:45 PM.
  • Mercure KI Lodge, American River: Departs 10:25 AM, Returns 6:30 PM.
  • Aurora Ozone Hotel, Kingscote: Departs 10:15 AM, Returns 6:30 PM.

Kangaroo Island Experience Day Tour: South Australia's Wildlife Gem

Discover the natural highlights of South Australia's premier nature-based tourism destination on this full-day Kangaroo Island experience. Led by expert SeaLink guides, you'll encounter playful fur seals, marvel at unique rock formations, and get up close with iconic Australian wildlife.

Tour Highlights

  • Enjoy a guided walk on the beach at Seal Bay Conservation Park among a wild colony of rare Australian sea lions.
  • Explore Flinders Chase National Park, keeping an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles, and koalas.
  • See the dramatic coastline from Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, a natural nursery for playful long-nosed fur seals.
  • Visit Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed friendly kangaroos and interact with koalas during a keeper talk.

Important Notes

This is an English group tour, with multi-language itinerary flyers available upon request. For groups of 12 or more, please contact customer service for special arrangements.

Kangaroo Island is highly sought after year-round, so we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to secure your spot. If you have more time, consider staying overnight on Kangaroo Island or arriving the day before your tour with our Kangaroo Island Highlights Escape Tour for a more relaxed experience.

Transportation

Adelaide City Departure and Pick-up location

  • Departure is at 6:45 am, and the return is at 22:40 pm.

Cape Jervis Departure

  • Departure is at 9:00 am, and the return is at 20:15 pm.

Kangaroo Island Departures(For Kangaroo Island Accommodation guest) :

  • Seafront Hotel, Penneshaw: Departure time: 10:15 am, return: 18:45 pm.
  • Mercure KI Lodge, American River: Departure time: 10:25 am, return: 18:30 pm.
  • Aurora Ozone Hotel, Kingscote: Departure time: 10:15 am, return: 18:30 pm.

Things to Note

  • All per person prices quoted are in Australian dollars and valid from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024.
  • Prices are per person and valid for travel 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024, for other dates please enquire.
  • A child is 3-14 years. Infants 0-2 years are free of charge.
  • Itinerary and inclusions are subject to change without notice, especially on days classified as catastrophic fire danger on Kangaroo Island.
  • If you have any special dietary requirements please email us or remark when you make a booking to let us know.
  • *On Island Tours DO NOT include mainland coach transfers or ferry to/from Kangaroo Island. You must be on Kangaroo Island to participate in the Day Tours at the ‘on island’ price. If you require transfers and a ferry please select an alternative option above.

^On Island Departures from Kingscote or American River include:

  • KI Transfers will transfer you from your hotel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery to meet the SeaLink Tour coach which departs from Penneshaw.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 30days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.

  1. Safe koalas

    The entire day was impeccably organized and packed with enjoyable experiences. I relished every aspect of it. The scenery was nothing short of spectacular, and our guide proved to be incredibly informative, adding depth to our journey. It was heartwarming to witness so many koalas thriving in safety, especially after the devastation of the bushfires. This experience comes highly recommended!
