The tour is led by an exceptionally trained and experienced team, ensuring a safe, informative, and enjoyable experience for all guests. The crew are among the highest qualified in Jurien Bay.

From skippers holding Master 4 Marine qualifications, to an onboard marine biologist and certified dive masters, guests can relax knowing they are in expert hands. Qualified tour guides will also be in the water at all times, providing a respectful and engaging experience while swimming alongside the local sea lions.

Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Tourism

The crew are deeply committed to sea lion conservation and sustainable tourism. The experience aims to enrich guests’ understanding of marine life and raise awareness of the challenges facing Australian sea lions.

Once hunted for their fur, sea lions today face their greatest threat from commercial fishing. In Western Australia, colonies are relatively small, with fewer than 25 pups born each year, and the species is listed as Endangered under Australian law. The tour exists to highlight these critical issues, helping ensure future generations can enjoy the same privilege of swimming with these remarkable animals.
