The Pinnacles Day Tour takes you to see the beautiful natural regions of Western Australia’s Turquoise Coast travelling through a range of captivating landscapes. Start with a morning tea visit to the Yanchep Lavender Farm sampling all things lavender, then continue on to the seaside town of Cervantes, known for its lobster industry and settle in for a leisurely beachside lunch at The Lobster Shack. After lunch, witness the Lake Thetis Stromatolites, fascinating ancient living fossils whose origins date back billions of years. The tour then takes visitors to The Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park to to walk amongst mysterious limestone pillars formed thousands of years ago. You may be treated to some spectacular seasonal wildflowers as well as some of Australia’s iconic wildlife such as Kangaroos, Emus, Echidnas, Eagles and endangered black Cockatoos.

Itinerary

We invite you to join us on tour for a Pinnacles Day Tour where we will take you to some of the most stunning natural regions along the West Coast. Enjoy a one-day getaway to some of Western Australia’s most impressive natural wonders as you leave city life behind.

Guests will enjoy a visit to the Yanchep lavender farm as a special treat. Enjoy some of their delicious products at their cafe before continuing on to the city, such as lavender ice cream, scones, and cheesecake (included in the tour).

For lunch, we venture into the Cervantes home to the famous Lobster Shack where you can choose from their menu and enjoy delicious WA seafood washed down with a refreshing beverage as you take in the beautiful coastal scenery. (lunch at guest’s expense)

Take an after-lunch stroll along the Lake Thetis boardwalk to view some of the world’s oldest known living fossils known as Stromatolites. In a region abundant with flora and fauna, we’ll wander through a kaleidoscopic of wildflowers, including banksias, bottlebrush, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws; all bursting with life, when in season.

Once we’ve been able to fill our lungs with the fresh sea air, it’s time to embark on a journey to the Nambung National Park in order to witness the remarkable Pinnacles desert. As for how the Pinnacles were built, there are many theories, such as petrified trees, seashells, or ancient lava fields that were submerged under water millions of years ago. Thousands of limestone pillars rise eerily out of the desert, we will visit the visitor information centre to learn all about these structures before walking a few hundred metres to get up close to them.

After experiencing the local sights and scent of Australia’s west coast, we return to Perth around 7pm.

All per person prices quoted are in Australian dollars and valid from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024.
Our child and infant policy and pricing does vary depending on the trip; this is due to the diversity in our product range. All travellers under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
These trips require a moderate level of fitness to complete walks (required to complete the 1-2 hours of walking trails within the Pinnacles Desert) and have an element of safety required. Not suitable for infants or children 5 years and under.
Child aged between 6 to 12 years old.
We ask that guests travelling on day trips bring small day packs and hand luggage only as we have limited storage onboard our vehicles. Suitcases and large backpacks must be put in storage at your hotel or bus station lockers prior to boarding our vehicles.
Please notify us if you have any dietary requirements or medical conditions prior to departure, that way we can make any necessary arrangements.
We operate this tour with a maximum of 17 passengers, our vehicles are 17-seater Toyota Coaster buses. This vehicle makes for a safe & comfortable journey (air-conditioned), with large passenger windows for unobstructed views and we can safely manoeuver around the Pinnacles.
The weather in Western Australia can fluctuate and be extreme at times. It is not unheard of for temperatures to reach over 40+ degrees Celsius during the day and in the evening the temperature drops dramatically. Please ensure you have checked the average temperatures for the time of year you are travelling and have packed adequate clothing.

What to Bring

1L refillable water bottle, hat, sunglasses & sunscreen, all-weather clothing for the evening as the desert can get cold at night plus a windbreaker, warm jumper, comfortable walking shoes (tread closed-toe shoes), small day pack 5-7kg, money for snack and meals, camera to capture every moment
