Experience Highlights

Departing from Geraldton, you’ll fly north along the Coral Coast. Take in the breathtaking contrast between the white sandy shores and the brilliant turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean as you climb toward the Pink Lake.

As you arrive at the 70-square-kilometer Hutt Lagoon, you'll discover why an aerial view is essential. The lake's unique pink hue is created by Dunaliella salina, a carotenoid-producing algae used globally as a source of vitamin A and food coloring.

  • Summer Views: Witness intricate pink patterns "snaking" through the white salt crusts on the outer edges of the lake.
  • Winter Views: See the pink hues stretch out in full brilliance alongside the coastline.

Things to Note

  • All per-person prices quoted are in Australian dollars (AUD).
  • Kalbarri Scenic Flights and Nationwest reserve the right to change or alter prices and itineraries at any time before departure due to factors such as inflation, international fuel prices, war or other unforeseen events.
  • Please bring water, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a camera.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if the minimum passenger numbers are not met. In this event, passengers will be offered an alternative or a full refund.
  • On scenic flights, each passenger is allowed one carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 3 kilograms. For overnight tours, a maximum of one 15kg bag plus one 5kg carry-on bag per person is permitted. When travelling with children weighing up to 38kg, one 30kg bag per child may be carried for families of up to four people. For families of five, the standard 15kg plus 5kg allowance applies per person. Soft bags are preferred. Oversized baggage may be repacked into supplied bags if required.
  • Fishing rods up to 2 metres may be taken onboard, provided all hooks are removed. Empty, decommissioned dive tanks may be taken onboard. No dangerous goods are allowed.
  • All passenger weights must be advised before travel. The pilot may weigh passengers if advised weights are deemed incorrect. Unlike other scenic flight operators, Nationwest Aviation / Kalbarri Scenic Flights does not have a maximum passenger weight limit. Due to some aircraft having a maximum seat weight of 120kg, online bookings are capped at a total passenger weight of 120kg. If anyone in the booking weighs over 119kg, please contact the booking line to discuss available options.
  • Pregnant passengers must provide a doctor’s certificate confirming it is safe to fly.
  • For flights cancelled due to weather conditions, mechanical failure or failure to meet minimum numbers, passengers will be offered an alternative date or a refund.
  • No refunds are given due to lateness.
  • Passengers are required to arrive at the terminal at least 30 minutes before their flight.
  • Upon entering the terminal, a safety video will be playing, and pre-flight forms will be available to complete. Passengers who arrive late and have not completed the safety video and pre-flight forms by boarding time (15 minutes before take-off) will be marked as a no-show or required to pay a late boarding fee. This policy ensures flights can depart on time and that other passengers are not disadvantaged.

Cancellation Policy

25% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 7days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
