Itinerary

Travel along the rugged West Coast from Fox Glacier to Greymouth, experiencing some of the region’s most dramatic natural landscapes.

Departing the glacier town of Fox Glacier, the journey takes you past stunning glacier-fed lakes before reaching the West Coast shoreline. Stop for a morning tea break (own expense) in the small rural town of Harihari, then continue north through native rainforest and historic gold mining towns.

Midday, enjoy a lunch break (own expense) in Hokitika, known as New Zealand’s “wild foods capital.” After lunch, continue to Greymouth, where the tour concludes at the railway station. From here, you will connect with the famous TranzAlpine Scenic Rail Journey to Christchurch, completing a classic West Coast and Southern Alps travel experience.

Fox Glacier to Greymouth

  • 8:15am – Check in with your driver/guide at 44 Main Road, Fox Glacier
  • 8:30am – Coach departs Fox Glacier
  • 10:20am – Arrive in Harihari for morning tea break (own expense)
  • 10:40am – Depart Harihari
  • 11:45am – Arrive in Hokitika for lunch break (own expense)
  • 12:20pm – Depart Hokitika
  • 1:15pm – Arrive at Greymouth Railway Station, 164 MacKay Street, Greymouth
    (Tour concludes – connect with the TranzAlpine Scenic Train to Christchurch)

Greymouth to Fox Glacier

  • 1:15pm - Check in at the Greymouth Railway Station, 164 MacKay Street
  • 1:30pm - Coach departs Greymouth
  • 2:10pm - Coach arrives at Hokitika (afternoon team break - own expense)
  • 3:00pm - Coach departs Hokitika
  • 5:40pm - Coach arrives at Fox Glacier, 37 Main Road. Tour concludes

Cancellation Policy

10% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
