This wildlife encounter takes you to the island's top snorkelling spots in the ruggedly spectacular Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, to experience the best of the local marine life, above and below the water. The comfortable vessel allows for safety and enjoyment, as you dive in to discover this incredible marine park beneath the surface. Enjoy a gourmet grazing platter, including a delicious array of seafood selections, as you cruise. Dietary requirements can be catered to (please notify Reservations Staff).

Look out for wild Bottlenose Dolphins, explore limestone reefs and rocky outcrops, meet the local marine bird life and frolic with the rarest Sea Lions in the world. All equipment is provided, and our highly trained and experienced crew will introduce you to snorkelling with an emphasis on safety and environmental awareness, so you can make the most of your wild encounter in wild luxury. They will also point out the best wildlife spotting opportunities of the day. Wild dolphins, rare Australian sea lions, pelican rookeries, and birds of prey are regularly sighted, and our friendly crew will get you right amongst the action!

We provide wetsuits, masks and snorkels, fins, and flotation devices. We have a large, comfortable and safe vessel. Our crew are qualified professionals with a passion for the ocean and our playful sea lion friends!

The cruise concludes, returning to Mersey Point (Mainland Jetty)  to a shared VIP luncheon gourmet grazing platter, including a delicious array of seafood selections.

  • A safety briefing will be held on the grassed area behind the Visitor Centre, including signing waiver forms, fitting wetsuits and snorkel equipment.
  • Wildlife on our snorkelling cruise is not guaranteed, as we are working with wild animals.
  • We reserve the right to postpone or cancel cruises due to weather conditions. Your safety is our priority.
  • Swim with Wild Dolphins tours commence from the 15th of September on weekends only until the 1st  of December, then daily for the summer school holiday period, subject to Availability

Transportation

  • Meet the boat in Rockingham at 7:50 am (Rockingham Jetty: Esplanade & Val St, Rockingham WA 6168).
  • The cruise duration is approximately 5–6 hours, depending on dolphin sightings and behaviours.
  • All departures are subject to weather conditions and minimum passenger numbers.
  • Self-drive to Rockingham.

Things to Note

  • Any prices listed are in the currency of the Australian dollar (AUD).
  • This tour is not suitable for children under 6 years of age
  • This trip may be affected by weather, tides, and high temperatures (if the temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius on the day), making it quite possible that snorkelling with wild marine life may not be feasible. You will be notified a day in advance or on the day itself, and it might be changed to a standard sightseeing cruise (with the option to refund the difference).
  • Guests must be able to swim to participate in snorkelling. There will be a guide in the water for assistance, and floatation devices available for those who require them.
  • Crew will ensure visitors receive the best wildlife viewing opportunities on your cruise. We ask you to please respect the Shoalwater Island Marine Park. We are entering a natural habitat; therefore, animal sightings are not guaranteed as we do not feed or train them.
  • Please wear your bathing suit under the wetsuit you’ll be provided, a towel and a change of clothes for after the end of the experience, something warm or a weather-proof jacket in case it’s cool after being out in the water, sunscreen, and a phone/camera if you want personal photos
  • To join this tour, you must sign our waiver of liability before your tour departure. Children under 18 years of age must have a guardian's signature.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 7days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
