Itinerary

Day 1: Alice Springs to Uluru / Ayers Rock

Leaving Alice Springs early, we travel toward Uluru, stopping at Mount Connor (false Uluru) lookout and Curtin Springs for a toilet break before reaching our campground for lunch. Choose from a complimentary pickup service from Ayers Rock Airport or Ayers Rock Campground to start your outback adventure. Prepare to be awestruck by the heart of the Outback, a region rich in heritage and Aboriginal significance. Learn more about this at the interpretive cultural centre. Get up close and personal with Uluru, the colossal monolith, by embarking on a base walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole. discover sacred rock art sites and ancient creation stories. Explore the remarkable Kantju Gorge, home to Central Australia's highest waterfall and elders' cave. End your day with a mesmerizing sunset at Uluru lookout, accompanied by a hearty dinner.

Meals: Lunch*, Dinner (*not included for guests being collected from Ayers Rock). Accom: Ayers Rock Coach Campground – Permanent Tents or Bush Swags (communal bathroom facilities). Driving Distance: 130km. Hike Distance: 2-3 km / 2-3 hours.

Day 2: Uluru to Kata Tjuta - finishing Yulara

Rise early and savour a light breakfast as you venture towards a captivating sunrise in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Witness the majestic silhouette of Kata Tjuta, a remarkable sight to behold. Embark on an invigorating hike through the awe-inspiring Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, marveling at the mighty conglomerate rock formations. Conclude your exploration of Kata Tjuta, and head back to Yulara Airport to either catch your flight (or feel free to add an additional night stay at our safari camp for an extra $100 p.p.) The estimated drop-off time is around mid-day.

Returns: 10.55 am (January-March) or 11.45 am (April-September) (approximately 4 hours after sunrise)
Connecting Flight Times: You can connect to departing flights after the conclusion of the tour - Ayers Rock Resort. From January to March, please book flights departing after 12:45 pm. From April to September, please book flights departing after 1:30 pm.

*FIT Travel reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary schedule during seasonal weather fluctuations and/or during park closures due to traditional landowner ceremonies.

Tour Exclusions

  • Sleeping bags can be hired from us onboard for $40 AUD, this includes cleaning costs. You are more than welcome to bring your own. Payment is made directly to the tour operator.
  • Any meals not indicated within the itinerary. For those with special dietaries, we recommend you bring snacks as options are limited in the outback.
  • Hotel transfers pre/post tour itinerary to a nominated pickup point.
  • Travel insurance is highly recommended

  • Mandatory passenger details are required at the time of booking: contact phone number, and dietary requirements.
  • Passengers MUST notify the tour operator of any medical conditions that could have the potential to affect the running of the tour.
  • Please notify us if you have any dietary requirements or medical conditions at the time of booking, or at least a few days before departure, that way we can make any necessary arrangements.
  • The child policy for this tour is 8 years old and over, due to the nature of this tour, it’s not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • FIT Travel reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary schedule to adapt to seasonal changes as safety is our top priority. We plan accordingly to ensure our guests have the most fun and best experience possible while on tour.
  • A minimum level of fitness is required to complete the walks. The length of walks will be between 1km to 2km each day, often over steep rocky sections and in direct sunlight and high humidity. Embarking on walks will be at the guide’s discretion to ensure the safety of guests
  • What to bring: 2L Refillable water bottle, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses & sunscreen, beach towel & toiletries, bathers or swimwear, comfortable sturdy hiking shoes (closed shoes), all-weather clothing (extreme conditions day/night), camera, flashlight, headlamp or torch, tropical strength insect repellent, mosquito or fly net (summer months), 15kg overnight bag & small day pack, bring your sleeping bag & pillow (optional – if staying in a swag), recharge power bank (limited access to power to charge phone or cameras) and money for snack and meals.
  • A minimum of eight people is required to operate our 2-Day Uluru Tours. We will transfer all monies paid on a future departure date if your departure is cancelled due to insufficient passenger numbers.
  • We ask that guests travelling on short breaks/extended tours bring small soft overnight bags and hand luggage only as we have limited storage onboard our vehicles. Large suitcases and oversized luggage can be left at your hotel whilst you are on tour.
  • Due to the type of experiences we operate throughout Australia, some may require a medium to high level of fitness, and a doctor’s certificate is required for people over 70 years old (30 days before travel).
  • Basic Single Swag (sleeps 1) – This Basic Single Swag fare price is (Per Person) for Adults or Children. For guests who wish to sleep under the stars on the ground, in a self-contained canvas-covered bush bed roll with a camp mattress.
  • Twin Share Safari Tent (sleeps 2) – This Safari Tent fare price is (Per Person) for Adults or Children. For guests wishing to sleep in the outback but remain protected from the elements, we provide permanent tented campsites, twin single beds with mattresses, fitted & top sheet supplied. Sleeping bags are available should you get cold. (Solo travellers booking separately in a Twin Share Safari Tent will be paired with another solo passenger, where possible of the same gender but not guaranteed. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times no matter the sleep arrangements.)

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 30days. No refund if cancel within 30days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
