Relax on this lunch-time cruise along the historic Murray River aboard the Proud Mary. Gain an insight into this unique river system with its magnificent landscapes, birdlife and river views.

Itinerary

The Murray River Highlights tour departs Adelaide and travels to the mighty Murray River. On your arrival in Mannum, board the Proud Mary and relax as you cruise the historic river enjoying the wildlife and surrounding scenery.

Over the 1 hour 45 minute cruise you will enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch on board the Proud Mary as you sit back and take in the stunning scenery. Learn about the history of the river and gain an insight into the river's ecological system from informative commentary as you cruise.

Upon disembarking, enjoy a tour along the riverbank of the Murray River taking in spectacular views and stopping regularly for great photo opportunities, including the Mannum Lookout.

Travel back to Adelaide via the delightful Adelaide Hills, stopping in Woodside at Melba’s Chocolate Factory where you can purchase afternoon tea (at own expense), or you may wish to make a shop visit to Woodside Cheese Wrights to pick up some souvenir treats to take home.

  • 2 hour cruise on-board the ‘Proud Mary’ whilst you enjoy a sumptuous 2-course lunch including complimentary water, tea & coffee (other drinks available for purchase at the bar)
  • View the stunning orange cliffs, weeping willows & huge red river gums and see pelicans, galahs, cockatoos and cormorants
  • Stop at picturesque lookouts for great photo opportunities
  • Drive back through the picturesque Adelaide Hills
  • Stop for afternoon tea at Melba’s Chocolate Factory (own expense) or shop visit at Woodside Cheese Wrights

  • On 1, 15 and 22 January 2024, Proud Mary is not available, so the cruise and lunch will take place on Captain Proud.
  • Itinerary subject to change and some of the inclusions may be replaced temporarily without notice.
  • Infants (under 2 years of age) are permitted on some of our tours however child restraints are not provided. Please ensure you discuss your infant with our reservations team before booking.
  • here are no luggage storage facilities on most day tours, please do not bring your luggage with you.
  • Please note it is the customer’s responsibility to be waiting at your selected pickup location (accommodation provider) at least 5 minutes before departure. Failure to wait out the front of your selected location may result in the tour guide being unable to locate you, causing failure to load. Please do not wait inside accommodation venues as the driver will not be able to find you. Sightseeing Tours Australia cannot be held responsible for passengers who fail to load.
  • Tours do not include meals or drinks unless otherwise stipulated, however, stops will be made during the day where refreshments can be purchased on the day.
  • This tour is subject to a minimum of 10 passengers to operate. If minimum numbers are not met an alternate date will be offered or a full refund given.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 3days. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
