Things to Note

All prices are per person and quoted in Australian dollars.

Please note that this is a camping retreat, with accommodation provided in triple-share bell glamping tents by Wild Goose Camping. Each tent is equipped with air mattresses, linen, and a towel.

To fully enjoy our adventure tours, participants should have a love for the outdoors and hiking and be prepared for a variety of weather conditions. Our guides work hard to ensure a great experience and may occasionally need assistance. We kindly ask guests to contribute by helping with tasks such as meal preparation and packing up camp.

A moderate level of fitness is required, as some walks range from 2 to 9 kilometres over uneven or potentially wet terrain.

Please advise us of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking. While we aim to provide fresh, varied meals, please note that snacks, soft drinks, and alcohol are not included.

Due to limited trailer space, luggage is restricted to one 15 kg backpack or soft travel bag per person, plus a small piece of hand luggage for the bus.

This tour requires a minimum of four participants to operate. In the unlikely event that minimum numbers are not met, we will transfer any payments made to a future departure. If that is not suitable, a full refund will be issued.

Itinerary changes may occur to ensure the best possible experience. Australia’s weather can be unpredictable, and our experienced guides always prioritise safety. Any changes will be communicated to the group as early as possible.

All passengers must complete online check-in, including a mandatory ‘Fit for Travel’ self-declaration confirming they are illness-free. This must be completed no later than 24 hours before departure.

ACCOMMODATION & CAMPING

Camping is at a mix of national parks and designated campgrounds, all of which include basic toilet and shower facilities.

Please note that Mikkira Station may be unavailable during high fire danger periods (typically November to March). In such cases, we will camp at an alternative site such as Bay View Park, which also has one toilet and one shower.

For camping, we use single swags – traditional Aussie bed rolls made from durable canvas with an inbuilt mattress.

We recommend bringing your sleeping bag and pillow to use with the swag. However, if needed, you can:

  • Purchase a new 0-degree sleeping bag for $50, or

  • Hire a used sleeping bag for $20.
These options must be added to your cart when booking. Donated sleeping bags go to a homeless charity, giving them a second life.

In the event of wet weather, shared tents will be provided for group use.

In rare cases of extreme weather, we may arrange alternative accommodation. If this occurs, the cost will be shared 50/50 between Untamed Escapes and each passenger.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

  • The Coffin Bay Oyster Tour can be added at the time of booking.

  • If you wish to join the Day 2 alternative itinerary for a sea lion experience with Calypso Star Charters, please contact them directly to check availability and make a booking.
