Mid-afternoon the Murray Princess departs historic Mannum, the birthplace of the Murray River trade and communication, and heads upriver while you enjoy a Welcome Dinner.
As we cruise under floodlight to our overnight mooring at Caurnamont, you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, hairy-nosed wombats, tortoises, egrets and
many other species. Our on-board entertainer provides music for the night owls.

Day 2: Tuesday

Daybreak and it’s time for the keen photographers to be out to capture the special light and the morning movement of wildlife. Prolific birdlife includes pelicans, wrens and swans. Enjoy a
leisurely morning and lunch cruising upriver to Blanchetown through one of 13 locks which maintain the flow and levels of the river’s water.

This afternoon we moor opposite to the township of Blanchetown for our overnight anchorage. As the last rays of the sun fade, we visit Burk Salter Boutique Winery and enjoy wine tasting at the cellar door which is fitted out with beautiful red gum bars. After dinner, join us for all the fun and excitement, and participate in our “Murray River Cup”.

Day 3: Wednesday

After breakfast we cruise downriver to picturesque Swan Reach. The original Swan Reach homestead is now the Swan Reach Hotel where you can enjoy an ale or cappuccino overlooking the
Murray River (additional cost). Join a walking tour and visit the Swan Reach Museum (gold coin donation at entry).

Cruise downriver after lunch and take in the tranquillity as the landscape slides by. Catch up with friends over a coffee or drink whilst enjoying the magnificent scenery.

When we arrive at Sunnydale, it’s all ashore for the Woolshed Show as we recreate typical Australian woolshed history. Later we visit the Native Wildlife Shelter where some of South Australia’s most interesting native animals are cared for. And then of course, there is the great Aussie Barbecue – cooked and served in a bush setting on the banks of the mighty Murray River.

Optional tour: Sunnydale Nocturnal Tour. Additional cost and bookings can be made on board through your Guest Services Attendant. For details, see ‘Optional Onshore Tours & Activities’ in your Cruising Guide.

We reach Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, one of Australia’s most significant archaeological sites, for a step back in time – tens of thousands of years – for a guided boardwalk tour to view ancient rock carvings and to learn about Aboriginal history in the area. We return to the vessel to cruise downriver to Younghusband. Along the way, adventure seekers can also take a scenic tender boat ride.

Tonight, join your fellow guests for a delicious dinner in the Sturt Dining Room followed by an evening of entertainment.

Australia’s world-renowned wines. You will visit Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre for a light morning tea and wine tasting and enjoy a two-course lunch at Lambert Estate where you’ll have time to take in the views of this popular vineyard.

Then it’s on to the stunning Seppeltsfield Barossa, where we participate in a short walking tour. Following the tour, a tasting of a fortified wine accompanied by an Owen Andrews Artisan

In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards Crossing, which quickly became the bustling township of Murray Bridge.

After a hearty breakfast, choose to explore the town’s historic landmarks and local attractions, such as the Roundhouse, or go on a wildlife tour at Monarto Safari Park*.

Those who choose to experience Monarto Safari Park will arrive back on board the Murray Princess in time for lunch then join us in the Sturt Dining Room for a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine produced in the Riverland. This afternoon, we continue our journey upriver and tonight we moor at Salt Bush Flat. After dinner, enjoy being entertained by our talented crew.

cover the necessary emergency and safety information.

Onboard: Please be careful when moving around the vessel and always hold the handrails when going up or down stairs. The stairs to the sun deck are quite steep - please take care.
Never hold the frames of open doors as the ship’s motion may cause the door to close on your hands or fingers. Open decks are slippery when wet. Use caution when walking in these areas.
Rubber soled shoes are suggested.

Onshore: When attending bushwalks, wear comfortable, welltreaded footwear, preferably boots with ankle support. In warmer weather it is recommended to wear long trousers and tops to
prevent against bites and the sun. Be on the lookout for snakes and other fauna and take particular care around long grass, hollow logs, and rocks. Take plenty of water to remain hydrated.

Whilst all endeavours have been made to make it safe for our passengers, there may be circumstances which create an unknown hazard, please let us know immediately if you see
anything unsafe.

For child safety, children under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by guardians for the entirety of the cruise and all onshore activities. Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of any child travelling with them will be required to provide an original, legally affirmed, or notarised letter signed by at least one of the child’s parents/legal guardians.

During the cruise, passengers will have the opportunity to participate in various activities, some of which, will be at third party owned and operated facilities and be self-guided or guided.
Please always listen to announcement and follow the safety instructions and signage.

We offer unique access to some picturesque landscapes and country, and we ask visitors to show respect by not touching or removing anything and making sure you remove all your rubbish
with you when you leave. Please note that some of the places you visit may have spiritual significance to Indigenous Australians and as such some areas may be restricted. Please respect the wishes of traditional owners.

Weapons, ammunition, and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the ship. Other prohibited items may interfere with the safe operation of the ship or the safe and secure environment of
our passengers and crew; these include flammable liquids and explosives, power boards and extension cords, dangerous chemicals, alcoholic beverages, knives, candles and incense.
