See all of this and more on this relaxed, yet comprehensive two-day tour. Choose to stay in the townships of Kingscote, American River, or Penneshaw and enjoy a night on Kangaroo Island between your two days of touring or extend your stay and add in an extra night.

Day 1: Kangaroo Island Experience Day Tour

From Remarkable Rocks to playful fur seals, SeaLink guides will take you to Kangaroo Island’s natural highlights. This is simply the best one-day Kangaroo Island tour available.

Take a guided walk on the beach among a colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions with a National Parks Ranger at Seal Bay Conservation Park. Get up close and see these wild creatures frolic and laze about – an unforgettable experience.

After a delicious two-course lunch, spend the afternoon at the Flinders Chase National Park. As you travel through the park, keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles, and koalas. See the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks provides great photographic opportunities, and the Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery, and a haven for playful long-nosed fur seals.

Day 2: Kangaroo Island Sip & See Escape

Start your day with a delicious buffet breakfast before heading off on day two of your tour. Your local guide will introduce you to some of the island’s leading creators where you will see a “Free Flight” display of raptors and taste some local Kangaroo Island produce.

Your first official stop will be the fascinating Birds of Prey Presentation at Raptor Domain for an educational, interactive, and inspiring experience. The only “Free Flight” Birds of Prey display in South Australia, it is thought by many to be the most interactive presentation in Australia.

Next, travel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery (South Australia’s only commercial Eucalyptus Oil Distillery) for a delicious 2-course lunch followed by an introductory talk about the history of the oil distillery and take a guided tour. Kangaroo Island Ciders’ range of Colony Cove products including Apple Sparkler, Draught Cider, and Original Cider are available for tasting (additional cost). Finish off with some free time in their souvenir shop where you will find an assortment of Eucalyptus, Tea Tree and Emu Oil products.

Your next stop is Clifford’s Honey Farm, where you’ll enjoy an informative guided tour of the honey room to learn about the extraction process, taste a honey soft drink and have the option to sample the Drunken Drone Brewery’s Honey Wheat Ale. In the farm shop, you can see a working beehive where you can try to spot the Queen bee. There are different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey and beauty products to purchase as well as their famous honey ice cream.

Continue to Pennington Bay, a spectacular beach on the south coast of Kangaroo Island for a photo opportunity. This delightful tour ends with a visit to the new False Cape Wines Cellar Door on the beautiful Dudley Peninsula, where you can soak up the views and enjoy a structured tasting of their premium wines.

Your tour ends at the Penneshaw Hotel where you have ample time for dinner (own expense) before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your return ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

Transportation

  • Pick up from Hilton, Holiday Inn, Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide (About 6:15-6:30 am Pick up)
  • Meet up point: Adelaide Central Bus Station. 85 Franklin Street, Adelaide, SA 5000 (About 6:45 am Pick up)
  • Make Own way to SeaLink Ferry Terminal - Cape Jervis: Flinders Dr, Cape Jervis SA 5204, Must check in 30 minutes before departure.
  • From Adelaide to Cape Jervis, driving distance around 105 to 120 minutes, please make sure you arrive on time.
  • Guests must arrive at the pick-up location at least 15 minutes before departure. There will be no waiting for late arrivals, and guests will be considered to have forfeited their booking automatically without refund.

  • Prices are per person and valid for travel 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2025, for other dates please enquire.
  • A child is 3-14 years. Infants 0-2 years are free of charge.
  • Itinerary and inclusions are subject to change without notice, especially on days classified as catastrophic fire danger on Kangaroo Island.
  • If you have any special dietary requirements please contact us and let us know.
  • On Island Tours DO NOT include mainland coach transfers or ferry to/from Kangaroo Island. You must be on Kangaroo Island to participate in the Day Tours at the ‘on island’ price. If you require transfers and a ferry please select an alternative option above.
  • The itinerary sequence may be subject to changes or adjustments due to uncontrollable factors such as weather conditions, attraction availability, tides, employee strikes, site maintenance, and other unforeseen circumstances. The order of activities or substitution of attractions may be modified accordingly.
  • Hotel accommodations during peak seasons, weekends, and student holidays may be in high demand, and group availability may be limited. In the event that a hotel is fully booked, there may be a need for additional payment or a refund for alternative hotel arrangements or room upgrades. Before ticket issuance, our company reserves the right to adjust accommodation prices, and if the adjusted price is higher than the original selling price, you may choose to accept or receive a refund. Once the ticket is issued, changes to the itinerary cannot be made.
  • Complimentary Drink Voucher – Glass of house wine, tap beer or soft drink (one drink per person) with any main meal purchased at the Penneshaw Hotel.

^On Island Departures from Kingscote or American River include:

  • KI Transfers will transfer you from your hotel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery to meet the SeaLink Tour coach which departs from Penneshaw.
  • At the conclusion of the tour in Penneshaw, you will meet the SeaLink Shuttle at the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal that departs at 7pm for your transfer back to American River or Kingscote.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 30days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
