Day 3: Great Australian Bight and Nullarbor
Rise with the sun before embarking up the coast to take in two local icons. Spanning more than 100km, the Bunda Cliffs are the longest uninterrupted sea cliffs in the world and frame the Great Australian Bight, the focal point of your whale watching tour. Perched clifftop, this stretch of ocean offers the best whale watching opportunities in Australia. Watch whales and their young frolic in the sapphire waters below, then visit the Head of Bight Whale Centre (open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during whale season) to learn about these incredible creatures over lunch. Breathe deep and take in the magic all around you; this is one of the greatest nature shows on Earth. You also have the opportunity to spot whales from above and take in the vast Outback of the Nullarbor Plain on an optional 45-minute scenic flight over the Great Australian Bight (optional activity, additional cost).
Delving deeper into the Nullarbor, you'll stop at an iconic outback roadhouse and unearth coastal caves before arriving back in Ceduna by sundown. After traversing approximately 600km, dinner awaits at the Ceduna Hotel. At day’s end, fall asleep to the sound of gently lapping waves outside your window.

Day 4: Fowler's Bay Cruise & Return to Adelaide
After breakfast, set out on today’s adventure and the epic conclusion to your whale watching tour of the Eyre Peninsula. Away from the well-worn tourist track, Fowler's Bay is a pristine coastal wilderness home to an abundant array of marine life. Here, you'll have the chance to see whales at water level on a two-hour cruise (operated by local providers like EP Cruises, subject to permit renewals). Southern Right Whales sheltering with their young, Humpback Whales, dolphins, sea lions, and little penguins frequently visit these pristine waters. Back on land, whale spotting continues over lunch on the foreshore.
Finally, it's time to return to Ceduna to catch your flight back to Adelaide, with your airport transfer having you back to your accommodation at the Majestic Roof Garden Hotel around 6:30 pm. For passengers choosing the land-based option (3-day tour departing Ceduna), your tour will conclude around 3:00 pm today. Today, you'll travel approximately 200km.
