With its breathtaking natural scenery, Cradle Mountain National Park has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tasmania.

The crisp mountain air, spectacular landscapes, and iconic landmarks offer a refreshing escape. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Area, this pristine wilderness is protected for its unique natural features — a place of global significance that is truly worth experiencing in person.

The best viewpoint of Cradle Mountain is from Dove Lake, where visitors have two walking options:

• A full circuit walk around the lake, taking approximately 2.5 hours at a steady pace.
• A selection of shorter 30-minute walks, including a visit to the historic Waldheim Chalet.

There is no requirement for the group to choose the same activity — the driver will accompany those opting for the shorter walks and return at the pre-arranged time to pick up those doing the lake circuit.

If time permits, a waterfall and rainforest walk will also be arranged at the end of the tour for everyone to enjoy together.

On the way to Cradle Mountain, there will be a stop at the famous Town of Murals – Sheffield.
On the return journey, the tour includes a special visit to the Ashgrove Cheese Factory.
