With 63 stunning bays and beaches, many exciting and engaging touring options, and the possibility of hiring a bike to explore the island with — this island is the location of a lifetime!

Swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters along one of the many picturesque Mediterranean-style beaches classed as some of the world's best, and don't forget to take some selfies with the world's "happiest animal", the quokka.

With regular departures from an easily accessible location, SeaLink has made it easier than ever to get to Rottnest Island and enjoy a much-needed day trip from Perth on a comfortable ferry boat. The journey from Fremantle to Rottnest is about 19 kilometres and may take around 30 minutes for a one-way trip. By offering advanced technology on both their ferry boats — the Quokka 1 and Quokka 2 — SeaLink can offer the fastest and most reliable ferries to Rottnest that'll get you to your dream destination in no time at all!

Hire your bikes for pick up on the day when you disembark from the SeaLink ferry for an easy and stress-free Rottnest Island experience. Your bike hire will include a helmet and lock.

Bicycles must be collected on the island by an Adult 18+. Hirers under the age of 18, must be accompanied at the time of bike hire by a parent or guardian who is 18+. Bicycles must be returned to the crew on the return journey. Please read our terms and conditions for bike hire.

Getting here with public transport

The Fremantle Train Station & bus terminal is a 5-minute walk from Victoria Quay. See the Transperth website for a journey planner to help find the best public transport route.

Parking

There are limited paid parking options in Fremantle which often fill early. Our check-in office is just a 5-minute walk from Fremantle train station. We highly recommend public transport or rideshare.

There are several paid parking areas in Victoria Quay, including short, medium and long-term options. This parking is not undercover or secure and it is in demand. Please allow extra time to find parking as parking bays are limited and fill early during busy periods. We recommend using public transport where possible.

You can choose how you pay for it:

Pay for parking on arrival - Pay for the number of days at the ticket machine by entering your vehicle registration (maximum 7 days - If you require more days, please contact Wilson Parking on 1800 727 546 (Option 0).
Pay by using the Wilson Parking App on your smartphone. By paying through the app, your car's registration plate is recorded as paid with the parking inspectors. The app will also allow you to extend your stay as required, to a maximum of 7 days.

Perth ferry terminal

Ferries from Perth depart and arrive at Pier 3 Barrack Street Jetty, Perth.
Reservations office opening hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (subject to change without notice)

*Perth one-way free shuttle pick-up (limited to guests departing from Perth)
A free one-way coach transfer from selected Perth city hotels is provided (currently for selected hotels only). The return service does not include a drop-off back at the hotel. Please make your own way back to the hotel from Barrack Street Jetty in the Perth city area, approximately a 10-15 minute walk.

Getting here with public transport

The Elizabeth Quay Train Station & bus terminal is a 9-minute walk from Barrack Street Jetty. See the Transperth website for a journey planner to help find the best public transport route.

Parking

You can find a limited number of paid parking bays at Barrack Street Jetty which are available for up to two or three hours at a time. If you need more time at Barrack Street Jetty you can find longer parking options at Terrace Road, Council House, Concert Hall and the Convention Centre. Please note that parking locations are limited. We recommend using public transport where possible.

Notices

  • Prices are per person and in AUD
  • Tour participants must arrive 60 minutes before departure for ferry loading requirements and passenger boarding. Due to loading requirements, check-in will close 30 minutes before departure, and boarding will end 15 minutes before departure. Rottnest Fast Ferries reserves the right to refuse passengers from boarding for not complying with the above check-in and boarding times.
  • Please contact our team at (08) 9325 9352 if you require wheelchair space on this tour or if you would like an alternative return time off the island.
  • Please note: This package includes third-party components and therefore availability is not guaranteed. Our team will be in touch to reconfirm within 24 hours of booking.
  • Each passenger (excluding infants) is entitled to 1 x carry-on item no larger than 600mm x 400mm x 300mm and 10kg
  • If passengers are checking in luggage, you will be required to check in at the ticketing office first to collect your luggage tags

Cancellation Policy

No refund if cancel after order is placed.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
