Day 1: Adelaide to Kangaroo Island & Penneshaw Discovery

Begin with an early morning departure from Adelaide (by coach or self-drive) and take in the scenic Fleurieu Peninsula as you make your way to Cape Jervis. Board the SeaLink ferry service to Kangaroo Island. Upon arrival, collect your Budget Rent-A-Car at Penneshaw SeaLink Ferry Terminal. Kangaroo Island, over 155km long and 55km wide, is Australia’s third-largest island. Over the next three days, you'll have the freedom to explore its spectacular coastal scenery, scenic landscapes, and enjoy fresh local produce and wines. Settle into the delightful coastal township of Penneshaw, your base for the next two nights at the Kangaroo Island Seafront Hotel. Enjoy country-style hospitality and impressive views over the Backstairs Passage. Consider a meal at Penny’s Restaurant for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Dudley Peninsula & Western Wonders

Relax on their clifftop deck with spectacular coastal views while enjoying their delightful wines, a provided tasting platter, and a gourmet pizza to share. You can also try your luck at 'Golf across the Gully'. Next, enjoy a wine tasting and cheese board at False Cape Wines on the Dudley Peninsula. Afterwards, take a scenic drive to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse (entry to the lighthouse itself is an additional cost, approx. $19.00 per adult for a tour or $6.00 site entry). In the afternoon, take a day trip down to Flinders Chase National Park, a renowned sanctuary for native Australian wildlife. Return your hire car to the Penneshaw SeaLink Ferry Terminal before boarding your return SeaLink ferry service to Cape Jervis, and then continue your journey back to Adelaide.
