Timeless travel between two great cities, experience the tremendous beauty of the Nullarbor on this epic three day, two night journey.

THE INDIAN PACIFIC Rail Adventure

Enjoy this remarkable two night, three day journey, taking you from Perth to Adelaide via Cook and Kalgoorlie.

Day1 : Perth And Kalgoorlie

A leisurely mid-morning departure from Perth is followed by a regionally-inspired, gourmet lunch with views of the beautiful patchwork hills of the Avon Valley. The soft, green rolling hills slowly give way to the flatter, drier and harsher, but every bit as beautiful, desert plains. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks and socialising with fellow guests before reaching the mining town of Kalgoorlie.

① Paddy Hannan’s Ounce Of Luck: Tales From The Golden Mile (Included In Fare)

As the sunrise unfolds across Australia’s largest outback town, Kalgoorlie, the Indian Pacific pulls in, and guests are invited to join the first Off Train Experiences of the journey, delving into this mining town’s past and present, with a visit to the region’s gold-rush era, now modern-day, Super Pit mine. The gold rush, set off by Paddy Hannan’s discovery in 1893 was one of the biggest in Australian history.

Reboard the train mid-morning for brunch.

  • Recommended Fitness Level: Low – coach tour with short walks and seated experience.

Day2 : Nullarbor Plain

Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise from the comfort of your cabin and be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape. Enjoy regionally-inspired modern Australian cuisine for brunch, before alighting at the once vibrant but now deserted town of Cook. Watch the passing landscape before dinner and share stories with friends in the lounge.

Cook (Included In Fare)

Hidden in the vast interior of South Australia lies a ghost town that once bustled with life. Today, the town of Cook is home to lonely buildings and a population you can count on one hand – but in its heyday the location was an important part of the development of Australia’s interior. Established in 1917, Cook was originally built as a support town for the railway, with more than 50 people helping to maintain the tracks. Alight and wander the remote, time-worn town for a slightly eerie, unique glimpse of pioneering Australia.

Day3 : Adelaide

Arrive in Adelaide in the morning to complete your epic Nullarbor train crossing.
