Escape into a world of surprises to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Outer Great Barrier Reef. The stable reef activity platform is the perfect base for swimmers and non-swimmers to explore. Snorkel and/or dive, visit the underwater observatory, cruise in a semi-sub, or just relax on the sundeck with a delicious buffet lunch. Join us and the Great Barrier Reef’s vibrant marine life for a voyage into one of the natural wonders of the world.

In addition to the activities included in your tour, there is also a wide range of optional activities to experience on our Outer Great Barrier Reef activity platform. Scuba dive, join a snorkel tour, Scuba Doo below the waves or enjoy the Great Barrier Reef for the air with a scenic helicopter tour.

  • Pick-up at all Cairns accommodation & hotels (in CBD areas) around 7:30am-8:30am (Depends the flight time).
  • 8-8:40am or 9-9:40am: Get a taste of the Great Barrier Reef with our 40 minute scenic flight. Departing Cairns Airport this tour includes Green Island and the Great Barrier Reef.
  • 09:15 - 09:50am: Bus Drop off to Reef Fleet Terminal and Check in at Great Adventure counter.
  • 10:30 - 12:00pm: Departure from Cairns to Great Barrier Reef Outer Reef (Norman or Moore Reef).
  • 12:30 - 15:30pm: Free time On the Outer Reef Pontoon: Semi-submersible coral reef viewing tour, Underwater Observatory, Snorkelling, Reef education presentation and Guided Eco Reef Talk in the underwater observatory
  • 15:30 - 17:30pm: Ferry From Outer Reef back to Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal (Make own way back to your accommodation)

Tour Information

The Great Barrier Reef is not one continuous reef, but made up of over 2900 reefs and 900 islands. It is the largest reef structure and marine park in the world. So large in fact that it is visible from the moon!

Enjoy a hot & cold buffet lunch at the outer reef, tea and coffee and a range of snacks & beverages from the on board bar (Own Cost).

Notices

  • All per person prices quoted are in Australian dollars and valid from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024.
  • Maximum individual passenger weight limit of 125kgs
  • Infants aged 2 and under are required to sit on a parent's lap. Children aged 3 and over require their own seat.
  • All of the passengers will need to provide the full name and body weight when book in, please leave all the details in the notes.
  • Kindly be advised that in the event of adverse weather conditions or delays of the flights, we can offer the option to reschedule your Great Barrier Reef experience to another day. However, please note that the payment is non-refundable.
  • *Fact Check!Batt Reef is one of the largest reefs in the entire Great Barrier Reef. Measuring 18km long and 5km wide, Batt Reef is about three times the size of Cairns city!

What to Bring :

General Conditions

  • 4 -14 years are classed as children, and under 4 free, i.e. 3 or below.
  • Family fare – maximum of 2 adults and 2 children of the same family. Normal fare applies for additional children. Not applicable with any other discount.
  • All schedules, activities and prices may be varied without notice. Listed fares in Australian dollars include Goods and Services Tax. Prices valid: 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
