An intimate, half-day cruise visiting the remote Hill Inlet. Take a short guided bushwalk to the lookout for the ultimate views of iconic Whitehaven beach, and complete your experience with time to relax on the beach and take a dip in the crystal clear water...

Hill Inlet sits at the very northern end of iconic Whitehaven Beach. Cruise out to this remote spot and take a short guided walk to Hill Inlet lookouts for the ultimate vantage point of Whitehaven Beach, the swirling sands and crystal clear blue waters.

The short walk is highly accessible with boardwalks and stairs, and you will experience the rainforest and get the chance to spot some of the local wildlife on your way. Once you have captured the perfect shot from the top, head down to the glistening white sand of the beach where you can relax, explore and take a swim.

  • 40 minute cruise to Hill Inlet
  • 20 minute guided walk up to the lookout
  • 20 minute guided walk down to the beach
  • Spend up to 2 hours on the beach
  • Learn about the history and ecology of the area from your guide
  • Experience the rainforest and spot rare wildlife like Ghost Crabs, Estuarine Sting Rays and so much more
  • Morning or afternoon tea provided depending on time of cruise

Please note: guests do not have to take the walk to the lookout they can go directly to the beach. The walk does NOT require a high level of fitness and is mainly steps and boardwalks, however passengers must be independently mobile to access the beach and walkways.

  • Meet the meet up location at Hamilton  Island : Explore's Pure Dive and Reef Explorer vessels are located in the Marina Village at A9/10 Arm, opposite Explore's office.

  • All tours are subject to minimum numbers and to weather conditions and so may be cancelled at the discretion of the operator.
  • Explore reserve the right to alter the destination pending the weather for your safety and comfort. Times may also need to be changed due to tidal changes.
  • Explore will offer alternative days or refunds in the event of cancellations.
  • Explore reserve the right to use other vessels should Pure Dive or Reef Explorer be unavailable for any reason.
  • This tour is recommended for children 5 years and over. Children under 5 years are welcome, however there are limitations with regards to their participation please contact our reservations team for details when booking. Please advise any dietary requirements at time of booking.
  • Prices include any applicable fees for Environmental Management (EMC) and National Parks.
  • Cruise company and the captain of the day have the authority to alter the sailing/cruising route, as well as the locations for diving and snorkeling, due to weather conditions, tides, and waves. We must ensure the safety of the entire cruise and the stability of the journey. It may be necessary to make changes to the sailing route.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
