Located approximately 17 km south of Townsville city centre, near the Bruce Highway.
Getting There:Self-Drive:  Travel south from Townsville along the Bruce Highway and follow the signs to Billabong Sanctuary.
Taxi / Rideshare: Visitors can arrange their own transportation from Townsville city centre.
Hotel Transfers: Hotel pick-up and drop-off services are not included in the general admission ticket.
Recommended Visit Duration: Approximately 3–4 hours.

Things to Note

  • All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST
  • Please allow approximately 3–4 hours to explore the sanctuary and enjoy the main wildlife presentations.
  • Wildlife encounters and show schedules are subject to change without prior notice due to weather, animal welfare, or operational requirements.
  • Koala holding experiences are currently suspended. Close-up koala selfies and optional professional photo experiences may still be available.
  • Some premium animal encounters require an additional fee and may need to be booked in advance.
  • Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult.
  • Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and drinking water are recommended.
  • All visitors must follow wildlife keeper instructions during animal interactions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both guests and animals.
  • Animal encounters are subject to availability and animal welfare conditions.
  • Please refer to your final booking confirmation for confirmed admission details.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 3days. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
