Dive or snorkel the Great Barrier Reef with this small and exclusive tour to some of the reef’s lesser-visited but most pristine areas.
Discover all the beauty and diversity of the Great Barrier Reef with a visit to some of its most secluded and precious areas, on this unforgettable day trip from Hamilton Island.

The Great Barrier Reef is home to a remarkable variety of marine life, plants and animals including sharks, rays, turtles and fish as well as corals and seaweeds. Experience this amazing destination with our unique full day diving adventure taking you to Bait Reef - an intermediate to advanced dive site. We take smaller groups to this secluded dive spot and provide a guided dive experience.

Departing Hamilton Island the reef is accessed by our premium, purpose built dive and snorkel vessel, with has two levels of air conditioned luxury, lounge style seating, a partially shaded deck and showers onboard. There is a full beam swim platform which allows you to enter and exit the water with ease.

Enjoy a fresh and healthy selection of refreshments throughout the day including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

6.45am - Check in at Shute Harbour Terminal-Airlie Beach (Lot 296 Whitsunday Dr, Shute Harbour QLD 4802)
7.45am - Check in at Hamilton Island Explore dock on the Marina.
8.00am - Depart Hamilton Island Marina for Bait Reef Marine Park.
10.00am - Arrive Bait Reef Marine Park for diving and snorkelling.
2.00pm - Depart Bait Reef Marine Park for Hamilton Island Marina.
4.00pm - Arrive back at Hamilton Island Marina.
5.20pm - Arrive back at Shute Harbour Terminal-Airlie Beach

A minimum of 3.5 hours to enjoy the Great Barrier Reef Site.

Airlie Beach Departure: Please arrive at 6:50 am for check-in before the 7:00 am departure. The meeting point is Shute Harbour Terminal, Lot 296 Whitsunday Drive, Shute Harbour, QLD 4802. The Airlie Beach city centre is approximately a 15-minute drive from Shute Harbour. Guests are responsible for arranging their own taxi or transport to the meeting point.
Hamilton Island Departure: Meet at Explore’s Pure Dive and Reef Explorer vessels at Marina Village, A9/10 Arm, opposite Explore’s office.

Things to Note

All prices are in AUD.
All tours are subject to minimum numbers and favourable weather conditions and may be cancelled at the discretion of the operator.
In the event of cancellation, Explore will offer an alternative date or a refund.
Explore reserves the right to use alternative vessels if Pure Dive or Reef Explorer is unavailable for any reason.
The cruise company and captain may alter the sailing/cruising route or diving and snorkelling locations due to weather conditions, tides, waves, and safety requirements.
On windy days, the cruise may remain within the protected Whitsunday Islands. The itinerary may include two different diving or snorkelling locations and a stop at Whitehaven Beach.
For guests booked on a Discovery Scuba Dive, at least one person in the group must be able to understand the Instructor’s explanations and instructions in English. All guests must be able to swim 100 metres.
This tour is a non-instant confirmation product. After your order is placed, we must manually request seat availability from the cruise operator and wait for confirmation before tickets can be issued. Availability shown on the website is not guaranteed, and final confirmation is subject to the cruise operator’s approval and ticket issuance.
- If the requested seats cannot be secured, you may choose to change to another available date at no additional cost or receive a full refund.

For certified divers:

All divers must complete the pre-dive medical questionnaire and may require a medical assessment before diving. Please discuss this at the time of booking.
Divers must provide their certification card and/or log book.
The full-day experience includes two certified dives and all required dive gear.
Dives are guided by experienced Divemasters or Instructors.
A refresher programme may be required if you have not dived within the past 12 months, depending on the dive site.
Divers must be 12 years or older. Divers aged 12 to 14 years must dive with a certified parent or guardian.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
