Experience Airlie Beach’s only BYO Sunset Sail aboard the luxurious 60-foot sailing catamaran SV Wings III. Step aboard this purpose-built adventure yacht and unwind on spacious decks as you glide across Airlie Beach Bay, surrounded by the breathtaking Whitsunday Islands and the twinkling coastal lights.

This intimate sailing experience is limited to only 29 guests, ensuring a more relaxed and personal atmosphere. Enjoy a complimentary tropical welcome drink on arrival, then savour freshly prepared antipasto grazing platters and delicious dessert canapés all handcrafted onboard daily. Kids welcome 5+

Where do we go？

Step into a world of golden sunsets and serene waters onboard SV Wings III- a luxe 60 ft sailing catamaran. Sail and cruise slowly along the Airlie Beach Bay towards Pioneer Rocks with the Whitsunday Islands in the background watching as the sun dips into the horizon, painting the sky with breathtaking hues in every season.

Feel the gentle sea breeze on your skin as the vibrant coastal town lights begin to sparkle, creating a magical evening atmosphere

Enjoy your own refreshments and we have cold refrigeration for storing onboard, no need to bring any esky. The boat is equipped with 3 zoned spotify music onboard & plenty of great playlists. There is tea varieties & 2 coffee machines for use.

The Airlie Beach Bay is mostly protected and calm with very little draft. Your skipper is very knowledgeable and will sail the vessel at a nice relaxing pace.

*Cruise Ships: Please note if you are travelling to the Whitsundays on a cruise ship, the timings of this charter do not always align with visiting cruise ship schedules- if your cruise ship tender leaves Port of Airlie Marina before 3:45pm.
Cruise Ship guests- please note if your cruise ship tenders are late or do not make it to shore for any reason you forfeit your tour and will need to claim the loss on travel insurance.
To avoid disappointment, please check the details of your embark and disembark times with your cruise ship thoroughly before booking.

FAQs

Can we buy any drinks onboard like soft drink or alcohol?
No sorry we are not a licensed vessel so we do not sell anything onboard at all- we do provide cold filtered water at anytime, tea varieties and there is also 2 coffee machines onboard for our guests.
What can we bring on for our drinks?
We advise guests to only bring on enough drinks for the 2 hour sail- beer in cans, pre mixed cans. Champagne & wine bottles are ok and we have wine flutes & cups onboard. No glass for all other drinks. This is not a party booze cruise, it is a family friendly leisure sail cruise on the bay to take in the beautiful sights on a beautiful yacht & we have the right to refuse boarding if anyone turns up too intoxicated. Drunk behaviour onboard will not be tolerated and the boat will return to port.
Do you cater for special dietary?
Yes we sure do, vegetarian, vegan, GF and dairy free are diets are catered for with our delicious antipasto & dessert canapés.
Does a Sunset Charter still proceed if it is raining and there is no Sun?
Yes sometimes they do- charters still proceed with rain and cloudy skies as we cannot predict the weather- cancellations by Wings Sailing would result in a refund if weather conditions are torrential downpour and extremely windy conditions ( can happen in wet season)We try our best to get it right but it is a mutli tropical region with varying forecasts. If a cancellation is required guests may get notified 2 hours prior. There is 24 a cancellation or move date policy so if you are concerned change your date.
Are children allowed on Airlie Beach Sunset Tour?
Yes most certainly children 5 years and older can travel- we have correctly fitted life jackets for all ages but you must advise prior to the day. Our Sunset Tour is suitable for 5+ through to grandparents!
How many guests does this tour have onboard?
The Sunset Sail can have 29 maximum- tour needs 10 guests to depart, if operator cancels due to low number guests will need to find an alternative cruise.
Can I travel onboard if I have limited mobility?
Our Sunset Tour is suitable for most guests and travelling can vary depending on the type of mobility problems some guests may have. All boats have areas that can be minor trip hazards so guest need to take care while walking around Wings III. There are some steps on either side of the boat, hatches to step over that guests need to use to get to the front foredeck area. This tour would not be suitable for guests travelling in wheelchairs. Please ring our helpful team or email us if you have any concerns about mobility.
Can we swim use the jacuzzi onboard?
No sorry not on the 2 hr Sunset Sail. This can be used on our private charter the Premium Sail on the Bay charter or our Day Sail Tour.

Cancellation Policy

10% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
