Safari Tour: A visit to our Zoo isn’t complete without a safari through the savannah! Climb aboard our big bus, and be transported through the open plains of Asia, North America and Africa to learn about some of the world’s most endangered species and our own conservation efforts. This all-ages, wheelchair-accessible tour includes commentary from a safari guide and comes free with your admission price.
Australian Trail: Early Step into the beautiful outback and spot Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Emus, Southern Koalas, Tammar wallabies and other native animals on our Australian Journey. Stroll through bush and grasslands along the banks of the Werribee River, learning about our unique ecosystem. You’ll see birds, reptiles, mammals and more, and pass the old Chirnside Woolshed. Just watch out for drop bears!
Join us for an intimate morning tour with our Keepers as you get an exclusive glimpse into the lives of the amazing animals of the Savannah. Follow one of our Keeping teams on their morning round where you may get to assist with food prep, watch a training session, and much more! After some of the morning duties, you'll head out to set up the lower Savannah to watch the animals start their day. Life on the Savannah can be quite dynamic, so expect the unexpected in this exclusive small-group experience.
Join our small group Deluxe Safari Adventure, you will be completely immersed in the sights, smells and sounds of the savannah as you travel across the Zoo's open plains surrounded by magnificent wildlife including rhinos, giraffes, zebras, & antelopes.

Get a unique perspective on the lives of our hippos and Keepers as we share how we care for this charismatic species - discover how Pansy got her name, and hear about the characters of these two girls as we share stories while seeing up close how majestic they are when on land.
Gallivant with a giraffe in this exclusive close-up encounter. Enjoy learning about these gentle giants' habits, threats to the population, and the work we’re doing to protect them from extinction. Just watch out for those big tongues!
Meet our African Wild Dogs as Keepers and bring you behind the scenes to get a glimpse of how they care for this social and highly intelligent pack of animals. Experience the world of these animals away from the crowds, and perhaps even hear some of their distinctive communication styles or watch their playful interactions.
Become buddies with our amazing Servals through our close-up encounters. In this exclusive behind-the-scenes experience our keepers will introduce you to one of these curious cats.
You’ll also learn about the threats to many African native species, and how we’re helping to fight against wildlife extinction.
