Your Day:

Morning:

  • Kata Tjuta (The Olgas): Marvel at the stunning domes of Kata Tjuta and hike through the scenic Walpa Gorge.
  • Aboriginal Cultural Centre: Immerse yourself in the rich culture of the Anangu people at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Learn about their traditions, art, and connection to the land.

Afternoon:

  • Uluru Base Walk: Embark on a guided walk around the base of Uluru, learning about its cultural significance and geological history. Discover ancient rock art and explore the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole.
  • Sunset Ceremony: Witness the breathtaking sunset over Uluru, as the iconic rock transforms into a canvas of vibrant colours.

Evening:

  • Sunset BBQ: Indulge in a delicious barbecue dinner while enjoying the stunning sunset over Uluru.

  • What are the departure and return times?
    We depart Alice Springs at approx 6 am from March to October, or at approx 7 am November to February. We depart from Ayers Rock Resort at approx 11:35 am from March to October, or at approx 12:35 pm from November to February.
    ***Please note that pickup times will change beginning 1st of April 2024. Kindly refer to your confirmation email for the actual pickup time.
    You’ll return to Ayers Rock Resort after sunset, at approx 7 pm from March to October, or at approx 8 pm from November to February. You’ll return to Alice Springs accommodation at approx 12 am from March to October, or at approx 1 am from November to February.

  • What are the departure and return times?
    If you’re looking for things to do in Central Australia, this tour is a memorable outing. We depart Alice Springs at approx 6 am from March to October, or at approx 7 am November to February. We depart from Ayers Rock Resort at approx 11:35 am from March to October, or at approx 12:35 pm from November to February. You’ll return to Ayers Rock Resort after sunset, at approx 7 pm from March to October, or at approx 8 pm from November to February. You’ll return to Alice Springs accommodation at approx 12 am from March to October, or at approx 1 am from November to February.
  • Can I bring my family?  Yes. Children aged 2 years and over are welcome on our tour and are charged at a child rate.  All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for their care.
  • What should I bring on the tour? We recommend you bring the following on your day tour: Water bottle (at least 1 litre) / Strong, non-slip walking shoes / Hat (wide-brimmed is best) / Flynet / Sunglasses / Sunscreen / Camera / Casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is best in summer and warm clothing for winter) / Cash for purchasing dot paintings directly from local artists at sunset when available / Travel pillow (for those returning to Alice Springs, as we will be driving after nightfall) / USB chargers (for those departing from or returning to Alice Springs, there are USB ports on the coach)
  • How many people are on each tour? We have a maximum of 52 people on the tour bus. You will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
  • Can I request special food requirements?  We are able to cater for one of the following special dietary requests upon request at the time of booking: vegetarian, gluten-free or dairy-free.  If you have a food allergy (e.g. peanuts), please advise at the time of booking and carry any necessary medication with you on tour.
  • How long will I be walking for?  The longest you can expect to walk on this tour is 1 hour per walk, at a relaxed pace.
  • What are the rules for BYO drinks?  At dinner, water and juice are served as well as sparkling wine. For beer or other beverages, you are welcome to bring 2-3 drinks. We recommend giving these to your guide at pick up and they will put it in the cooler box for you to enjoy with dinner.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
