The Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania is renowned for its diverse landscapes and unique attractions. With its dramatic sea cliffs, hidden sea caves, rich convict history, and exceptional local produce, it's a must-visit destination.

Departs: Hobart City area from 7:00 am
Returns: Approximately 4:30 pm

At Day Tours Tasmania, we offer an unforgettable experience that showcases the very best of this remarkable region. Your day begins with a convenient 7:00 am pick-up from your Hobart accommodation.

Our first stop is Dunalley and the historic Denison Canal—a man-made waterway built to give boats quicker access between Tasmania’s East Coast and the Tasman Sea. After crossing the canal via its iconic swing bridge, we head toward Eaglehawk Neck for a morning coffee break while enjoying some of the most breathtaking coastal views in Tasmania. Along the way, you’ll see natural landmarks such as the Candlestick, Cape Hauy, Waterfall Bay, and Hippolyte Rocks, all while learning about the area’s coastal geology, vibrant fishing industry, and rich maritime stories.

Continuing through the historic Dog Line into quirky Doo Town, we visit two of Tasmania’s most remarkable natural formations—Tasman Arch and the Blowhole (swell-dependent).

From there, we spend two hours at the Port Arthur Historic Site, where you’ll embark on a self-guided audio tour and a scenic harbour cruise—both included in the tour. Dive into the haunting yet fascinating convict history that shaped much of Tasmania’s past.

Next, it’s time to relax and enjoy a delicious one-course lunch at the Tasmanian Lavender Farm, surrounded by peaceful lavender fields. You'll also have time to browse their range of lavender-inspired products.

For those with a sweet tooth, our next stop is the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry, where you can watch skilled chocolatiers at work and sample some of their exquisite handmade treats.

We then visit the Tasman Honey Farm, where you’ll enjoy exclusive group access to their production facility. Owners Ian and Sandra will take you behind the scenes to learn about Tasmania’s thriving honey industry. Don’t miss the chance to see their live glass beehives up close and observe the bees in action.

Our final stop is the Dunalley Bay Distillery, set in a charming seaside shack. Sample their award-winning gins alongside freshly harvested local oysters—all while taking in stunning views of Mt Wellington across the bay.

As we make our way back to Hobart via scenic coastal roads, soak in the serene views of Norfolk Bay’s sparkling blue waters—a perfect end to a perfect day.

Join us for a captivating journey through the Tasman Peninsula—an adventure filled with natural wonders, rich history, gourmet delights, and unforgettable memories.
