You’ll also get to ride two of the most celebrated transports in the area, the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Kuranda Scenic Rail. The former will take you high above ground and you’ll get a stunning panoramic view of the rainforest. On the other hand, the latter will take you into the sea of trees and you’ll be able to revel in the serene atmosphere as you listen to the ambient noise of the train, the rustling of leaves, and the chirping birds living there. Kuranda Skyrail & Scenic Rail Experience

Combine a one-way Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and one-way Kuranda Scenic Railway experience for an unforgettable adventure.

Skyrail

  • Skyrail’s Smithfield (Cairns) terminal is located 15 minutes north of Cairns and 50 minutes south of Port Douglas.
  • Bus transfers are available from selected Cairns City locations.
  • A one-way journey takes approximately 1 ½ hours including time spent exploring Red Peak and Barron Falls.
  • Allow 2 ½ hours for a round trip experience.
  • First departure from Smithfield is at 8:30am and the last one way or round trip experience from Smithfield departs at 1:00pm.

Scenic Railway

Planning Points

  • A one-way Kuranda Scenic Railway journey takes approximately 1 ½ hours.
  • Bus transfers are available from selected Cairns City locations.
  • Depending on your tour selection, you can start with either Skyrail Rainforest Cableway or Kuranda Scenic Railway.
  • The morning train departs from Freshwater Railway Station to Kuranda at 8:55am and 9:55am.
  • The afternoon train departs from Kuranda to Freshwater Railway Station (continuing to Cairns Central Railway Station) at 2:00pm and 3:30pm.
  • The morning departure is from Freshwater Railway Station only and is not available from Cairns Central Railway Station.
  • Return Cairns Hotel Bus Transfer Available

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 24hours. No refund if cancel within 24hours.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
