What You’ll Do

Start your day with a scenic drive from Melbourne to Belgrave, the gateway to the historic Puffing Billy Steam Train. Wander around the Belgrave heritage station, take a few photos with the old-fashioned steam engine, and meet the friendly conductors who help bring the railway to life.

Climb aboard the Puffing Billy Train for a fun ride through the lush Dandenong Ranges. Sit back, feel the breeze, and dangle your legs from the open carriages as you cross the famous Monbulk Creek Trestle Bridge, high above the fern gullies below.

At Lakeside Visitors Centre, you’ll have time to explore Emerald Lake Park, check out the interactive displays, take photos by the water, or relax at the café and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

After returning to Melbourne, there’s time for a lunch break in the city before joining the Phillip Island Afternoon Tour.

Your next stop is The Nobbies, where you can stroll along the boardwalks, take in the stunning coastal views, and spot fur seals at Seal Rocks. The day finishes with the unforgettable Penguin Parade, watching the world’s smallest penguins waddle back to their burrows after sunset, a moment you won’t forget.

Kindly note that this package consists of two separate half-day tours which are taken on the same day. You will return to Melbourne after the Puffing Billy tour and have time to enjoy a leisurely lunch before rejoining for the Phillip Island tour.
