3-Day / 2-Night Liveaboard for Certified Divers: Operates from Wednesday to Sunday; 5 Days Cairns Learn to Dive operates from Monday to Friday.

Highlights

Your Great Barrier Reef adventure will begin with an early morning transfer from your accommodation to the boat. You are on your first dive in just under 3hrs. There are 16 dive sites to dive over 4 different reefs, all exclusive to Pro Dive. Scubapro will move between dive sites during your stay on the reef and you will do as many as 11 dives during this trip. Before each dive, you will be given a thorough dive briefing and although we do not offer water-guided dives we have professional dive supervisors providing deck watch at all times.

Our vessels are 25 metres (80 feet) in length, centrally air-conditioned, light and airy. There are 2 large decks, one for scuba diving and snorkel gear and one strictly for sun tanning and relaxing. These vessels are the only purpose-built outer reef dive liveaboards operating in the area. There are a total of 16 Cabins which sleep a maximum of two per cabin and a bathroom for every two cabins. Dinner, the menu changes each trip, however, it will be filling, hot and plentiful. Dessert is served after the night dive. Please advise if you are a vegetarian and we will do our best to make sure we cater for you. Single travellers are accommodated in the twin berth cabins with another diver.

Snorkellers joining this itinerary are well looked after. Gear hire for snorkellers includes wetsuit, mask, fins and snorkel. When in the water you will have the use of pool noodles and flotation devices and supervised by Pro Dive's professional Dive Deck.  Snorkellers can also try scuba diving whilst out on the reef. The Discover Scuba Dive is a professional programme which allows you to try diving without being a qualified scuba diver. During this cruise, snorkellers will have the opportunity to do several of these dives, there are minimum requirements to participate.

Day 1: Diving The Outer Great Barrier Reef

  • 5:45 am: Complimentary hotel transfer - available from Cairns City & Northern Beaches accommodation
  • 6:15 am: Check in at Pro Dive retail shop - corner Shields & Grafton Streets
  • 7:00 am: Depart Cairns for 3 days & 2 nights of fantastic diving/snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. A light breakfast is served onboard
  • 11:30 am: Your first dive is before lunch. This dive will be offered as a guided dive with an instructor, for those divers who have not dived in a little while
  • 12:45 pm: Lunch is served - hearty soup with an array of fresh salads, cold meats & bread rolls
  • 2:30 pm: Your second dive - head off & discover more underwater delights. Once you have completed your dive the vessel moves on to the next site
  • 4:30 pm: After an afternoon of snorkelling/relaxing it is time for your third dive of the trip
  • 6:00 pm: Dinner - the menu changes each trip however it will be wholesome, hot & of course lots of it!
  • 7:30 pm: The night dive! We generally try to do the night dive at the same site as the afternoon dive, as this way you are familiar with your surroundings. Keep a close eye out for our sleeping turtles, crustaceans & the occasional reef shark!
  • 8:30 pm: Dessert is served!

Day 2: Experience More Fantastic Diving On The Outer Great Barrier Reef

  • 7:00 am: The vessel moves for an early morning dive. Look out for splendid gorgonian fans, giant clams and bump-headed parrotfish
  • 8:00 am: Enjoy a hearty breakfast of cereal, fresh fruit, bacon and eggs as well as toast & spreads
  • 10:30 am: After breakfast, the vessel moves on for the second dive of the day
  • 12:00 pm: Lunch on the second day is hot pasta with a variety of fresh salads
  • 3:00 pm: After lunch & a snorkel it is time for your third dive
  • 6:00 pm: A hot dinner is served before your second-night dive
  • 7:30 pm: Night dive!
  • 8:30 pm: Dessert is served!

Day 3: Morning Dives And Return To Cairns

  • 6:30 am: Your first dive of the day
  • 7:30 am: A hot breakfast accompanied by fresh fruit salad, cereals and toast
  • 9:00 am: After breakfast, the vessel makes its last site of the trip, where you will do your second dive of the day
  • 11:00 am: Your last dive! When you surface freshly made sandwiches are served as the vessel heads home
  • 4:00 pm: Complimentary accommodation transfers - Cairns City & Northern Beaches
  • 7:30 pm: Join fellow passengers & crew at a local restaurant for a farewell dinner if you wish

Please note that the above itinerary is a guide only, and the order of sites may change. The captain will always adapt the itinerary to the prevailing weather, tides and currents. Meals may vary slightly depending on the availability of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Please advise if you are a vegetarian and we will do our best to make sure we cater for you.

Things to Note

  • All Rates are in Australian Dollars, including GST & Levy which are Valid until 31st March 2024.
  • The price included the eco levy of $85/per person.
  • 11 Dives (Including 2-night dives) are only eligible for Certified Divers.
  • Before each dive, you will be given a thorough dive briefing and although we do not offer water-guided dives we have professional dive supervisors providing deck watch at all times.
  • Liveaboard cruise/course is priced per person for a twin shared room on the sea vessel. For single occupancy in a room, an additional fee for a solo occupancy room is applicable. Please contact us for the single occupancy extra charge rate.
  • Please bring your own swimming suit, towel, sunscreen, flip-flops and Seasick pills.
  • The minimum age is 12 years old, and anyone under 18 years old is required to have their liability forms signed by a parent/guardian.
  • If you book the Learn to Dive course but can't pass the swimming test, we'll charge 15% for the booking fee, and refund the rest.

Dive Medical - Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving.  If you are affected by any of the points below you will need to consult a doctor and acquire a medical certificate, stating you are “fit to dive” prior to your dive trip.

  1. Since completing your last dive medical assessment have you suffered any illness or injury that may affect your ability to dive safely?
  2. Are you currently suffering any illness or injury?
  3. Are you currently taking any prescription medication other than the contraceptive pill?
  4. Is there any other condition, fact or circumstance that may affect your fitness or ability to dive safely?

Pickup Points:
Please let us know at the time of booking where you will be staying in Cairns so we can give you a pickup time. If you are unsure at the time of booking, please let us know 48 hours prior to trip commencement. If you have time the night before departure, could you please organise your gear at our retail shop on the corner of Grafton and Shields Streets between 4:15 pm and 6:45 pm?

Booking Reconfirmations:
We recommend that you reconfirm your booking on free call 1800 353 213 / phone 4031 5255 at least 48 hours before your date of departure.

Extra Charges
An additional fee per person is payable directly to Pro Dive Cairns. This fee consists of a Government Environmental Management Charge, Port Departure Tax and administration charges. This charge applies to all passengers travelling on the 3-day 2 2-night liveaboard dive trip and all dive courses combining the 3-day trip. (This fee is subject to change without notice)

Flying After Diving
We recommend that you do not fly until midday (or later) the day after your dive trip returns. This will give you 24 hours of surface interval after diving.

You will be required to sign a Waiver Release & Indemnity Deed onboard the vessel. Please click here for this in PDF form. Please print this off, sign it, and bring it on the boat with you.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.

  1. Recommend Prodive’s Padi Open Water course!

    I signed up for 5 days 4 nights Padi Open Water course (3 days on the boat), at the end we could select to level up to Adventure certificate to dive down 30 m.

    Highly recommend to get the scuba dive licence with Prodive as they’re really professional. The boat was clean and the staff took good care of us. It’s better to bring seasick pills on the boat.

  2. 難忘經驗

    深潛行程值得一去，沒有深潛過的人也可一試。
    船上工作人員都非常的親切，潛水指導員也很專業。
    只是建議，如果知道自己會暈船，或遇大風浪會暈船的人，真的建議要提前吃暈船葯，不然真的整個航程若遇大風浪的話，會非常的難過。
    另外也建議，如果從沒有潛水過的人，可以先試浮潛，待自己較熟悉只用嘴巴呼吸後，再去進行深潛會比較能成功。
