FOUR DAY ONE NIGHT PADI OPEN WATER COURSE

Ready to dive into the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef? Our 4-day Open Water Diver course is the perfect way to earn your PADI certification while experiencing the magic of the reef.

In the first two days, you'll delve into the world of diving at our state-of-the-art dive centre in Cairns. You'll learn essential diving theory and practice essential skills in our pool, guided by expert instructors.

On days three and four, embark on a thrilling overnight liveaboard trip to the pristine outer Great Barrier Reef. Explore iconic dive sites at Saxon, Norman, and Hastings Reefs. Gain valuable practical experience under the watchful eye of our instructors, witnessing the stunning beauty of the reef, from colourful corals to diverse marine life.

After completing your open water certification dives, you'll have the opportunity to celebrate with a fun dive.

4DAY1NIGHT PADI OPEN WATER COURSE Itinerary as below : 

Day 1: Pool & Theory

• 9 am: Pick up from your Cairns city accommodation
• Morning: Meet your instructor, complete the paperwork and begin your PADI Open Water dive theory. Lunch is not included on pool days, but you can bring a packed lunch (there are kitchen facilities at our dive centre) or there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
• Afternoon: Begin your scuba skills training in the pool
• 5.15pm: Tread water test
• 5.30pm: Drop off at Cairns city accommodation

Day 2: Pool & Theory

• 9 am: Pick up from Cairns city accommodation.
• Morning: Continue developing your scuba skills in the pool and complete the 200m swim test. Don your wetsuit and equipment for more skills training.
• Afternoon: Finish and review scuba theory, finish with a multiple choice exam
• 5.30pm: Drop off at Cairns city accommodation

Day 3: Great Barrier Reef (overnight)

• 7.30 am-8 am: Pick up from Cairns city accommodation, check in at the dive centre and shuttle to Cairns Marlin Marina for your day trip
• 8.30am: Set off for the reef! During your 90-minute cruise to the outer reef, your instructor will give you a full briefing.
• 11.30 am: Arrive at the reef
• 12pm: Lunch is served
• 1pm: Time for your first dive
• 3pm: Second dive
• 6pm: Relax, enjoy the views from on deck and sit down to a delicious dinner served by our onboard chef.
• 6.30 pm: If conditions permit, you may have the chance to enjoy our exclusive Sharks in the Dark experience!
• 8 pm: Dessert
• 10pm: Bar closes

Day 4: Great Barrier Reef / Cairns7.30 amm: Wake up to sunrise on the reef – a magical sight! Enjoy a delicious hot breakfast.

• 8.30 am: Third training dive.
• 10.30 am: Complete your final training dive – you’re now a certified PADI Open Water Diver12 pmpm: Checkout
• 12.30pm: Lunch
• 2.30 pm: Board our transfer vessel and return to Cairns Marina and your accommodation.

5 Days PADI OPEN WATER COURSE

Same as the 4D1N Course but upgraded to 5D2N, you will have an extra 1Day & 1 Night to enjoy the reef.

SIX-DAY PADI OPEN WATER & ADVANCED COURSE

Ready to elevate your diving skills to the next level? Our 6-day Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to take your underwater adventures to new depths.

In the first two days, you'll delve into the world of advanced diving at our state-of-the-art dive centre in Cairns. You'll learn essential diving theory and practice essential skills in our pool, guided by expert instructors.

On days three through six, embark on a thrilling four-night liveaboard adventure to the stunning outer Great Barrier Reef. Explore a diverse range of dive sites at Saxon, Norman, and Hastings Reefs. Experience the thrill of night diving and underwater navigation. Gain practical experience and confidence in advanced diving skills. Encounter a breathtaking array of marine life, including colourful corals, exotic fish, and majestic sharks.

By the end of your six-day dive course, you'll have not only your PADI Open Water Diver certification but also your PADI Advanced Open Water certification, allowing you to explore depths of up to 30 meters.

In between dives, relax in comfort on board OceanQuest. Soak up the sun and the views on the deck, fuel up for your next dive with tasty meals prepared by our onboard chef and sleep soundly in your air-conditioned cabin with a full en suite.

Day 4 - 5: Diving Practice and Free Time

Day 6: Great Barrier Reef / Cairns

• Make the most of the views this morning, as it’s your last day out on the reef.
• During the morning you’ll have two last dives – depending on instructor availability these will either be fun dives or your final training dive. Congratulations, you are now an Advanced Open Water diver, affectionately known as AOW!
• Then it’s time for one last lunch and to pack your belongings as we head back to Cairns, arriving around 4.30 pm.
