Transportation

Your first stop is the Sunlover reservations desk inside the Reef Fleet Terminal where cruise staff will issue you with a boarding pass and directions to the catamaran.

Tour & Pricing Information

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • Minimum: 1 participant.
  • Reef Cruise Ticket: Infants under 4 years old travel free of charge. Please specify the number of infants when booking.
  • Helicopter Ride: Only infants under 3 years old may travel free on a parent’s lap (no seat required).
  • No refund will be given if the semi-submarine or glass-bottom boat is unable to operate due to weather or mechanical issues.
  • Introductory Dive: Approximately 50 minutes in total (including briefing and equipment setup), with about 20 minutes spent underwater.
  • Sea Walker Helmet Diving: Approximately 40 minutes in total (including preparation and briefing), with about 10–15 minutes spent underwater.
  • The vessel can accommodate up to 200 passengers.

  • Hat, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes

Helicopter Weight & Infant Policy

  • Maximum individual seat weight: 130 kg.
    Passengers exceeding this limit must purchase an additional half seat, payable directly to Nautilus Aviation on the day of travel.
  • Infants aged 0–2 years may sit on a parent’s or guardian’s lap (one infant per flight, must be advised at time of booking).
  • Children aged 3 years and above must occupy their own seat.
  • Please provide the body weight of each passenger at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy (Great Barrier Reef Helicopter Packages)

  • After confirmation: 15% cancellation fee applies.
  • Within 74 hours prior to departure: 100% cancellation fee applies.
  • All prices include the Reef Levy and Goods & Services Tax (GST).

Important Notes for Water Activities

  • All participants of diving, sea walking, or other intensive water activities must complete a medical declaration form on the day of travel.
    Please ensure you meet the health requirements before departure.
  • No refund will be issued if you are unwell or unable to participate on the day.
  • No flying within 18 hours after diving.
  • For passengers choosing the “Fly to Reef, Cruise Return” option, please note that participation in diving or Sea Walker experiences cannot be guaranteed due to scheduling constraints. Confirm at time of booking.

Frequently Asked Question

  • Q: Can I bring my own camera during the Introductory Dive?
    A: For safety reasons, participants without a diving license are not permitted to bring cameras underwater.
    Only those holding an Open Water Dive License or higher may bring a waterproof camera, subject to the instructor’s discretion on the day.
    (Snorkelers and certified divers booking a second dive on the same day may use cameras underwater.)

Onboard Language Services

  • Sunlover Reef Cruises primarily operates in English, but multilingual staff are available in Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Italian, German, and Spanish.
    Please note: multilingual speaking staff are not guaranteed on every departure

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options.
