If you’re in Cairns, Northern Beaches, or Port Douglas in Australia and looking for a nature getaway that’s worth your time, then you should know that one of the best places to visit is the village of Kuranda and the lush verdant landscape surrounding it.  Wander around the village and get acquainted with the oldest living culture in the world as well as discover a wide variety of magnificent fauna and beautiful flora. You’ll also get to ride two of the most celebrated transports in the area, the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Kuranda Scenic Rail. The former will take you high above ground and you’ll get a stunning panoramic view of the rainforest. On the other hand, the latter will take you into the sea of trees and you’ll be able to revel in the serene atmosphere as you listen to the ambient noise of the train, the rustling of leaves, and the chirping birds living there.     The Kuranda Scenic Railway will be closed for scheduled maintenance on 19, 20 and 21 November 2025.

    During the Skyrail closure period, passengers may choose to travel by Kuranda Scenic Railway or coach transfer instead.
    A fare difference will apply — please contact FIT Travel for details.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 24hours. No refund if cancel within 24hours.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
