KUR-Cow Barnwell Farm is located in Kuranda, Queensland. Encompassing an area of 626 hectares (approximately 10,000 acres), it is surrounded by tropical rainforest. Welcome all ages (from 0-99 years old) of visitors to the KUR-Cow Farm and enjoy playing in the Mini Animal Farm, experts talk about Australian native cattle and various cattle breeds, and choose multiple packages that include horse riding, ATV off-road 4WD experience, organic farm experiences

Full Day FARM & ADVENTURE TOUR

Select a Full-day adventure in Kuranda! Both options include a guided tour of our property, either on horseback or a quad bike. These tours cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to experienced. Following the farm tour, we will take you to Kuranda Village for some leisure time. The village is a treasure trove of wildlife, unique cuisine, and friendly locals. Explore the pristine rainforest, listed as a World Heritage site, to embark on your personal adventure.

Full Day

0830 – Pick up from Cairns City Hotel
0930 – Arrive at KUR-Cow Farm
1000 – Start activity (1hr Horse ride or 1hr Quad Bike Tour)
1115 – Depart to Kuranda for free time (Lunch at own cost)
1500 – Depart Kuranda to Cairns City
1535 - Arrive Cairns City Hotel

After the safety instructions from the coach, visitors can then climb aboard the off-road vehicles. One person per vehicle, you have the choice to move slowly or race wildly, tackling slopes, leaping through forests, and crossing muddy streams – a thrilling and adventurous experience! For a while, leave everything behind and feel the cool breeze on your face, enjoying the sensation of fearlessly conquering all challenges!

Horse Riding (30 minutes or 60 minutes for the additional option on weekends)

Leaping onto the horse's back under the guidance of a professional, you'll take a leisurely walk within the horse enclosure to warm up. Gradually, you'll become familiar with the rhythmic movement of the horse. Once the horse trainers give their approval, you can then leave the enclosure and stroll through the lush greenery of the farm, enjoying the scenery.

Free Petting Zoo included: MINI ANIMAL

​This experience takes about 30mins. There’s no shortage of animals to feed at this property – from cattle down to the chickens who roam freely across the property. Be warned, untold nagging to get your own horse may be caused by patting the four Shetland ponies who welcome visitor’s attention.

Upon entering the farm's mini animal area, a cacophony of various animal sounds fills the air. Here, you can see all the animals you can think of – a diverse array of birds, parrots, chicks, ducklings, geese, piglets, guinea pigs, goats, sheep, ponies, alpacas, and more. The variety is astounding, and all the small animals eagerly welcome visitors to pet and cuddle them. You can  also have the opportunity to hand-milk cows and then taste the delicious flavor of fresh cow's milk!
