Spend a night on Kangaroo Island and immerse yourself in its renowned food, wine, and wildlife. This tour includes return transport from Adelaide, a night's accommodation in Penneshaw, a full buffet breakfast, and a full day exploring the island's premier attractions and local producers.

Tour Highlights

  • Overnight Stay: Enjoy a night at the Kangaroo Island Seafront Hotel, Penneshaw (Sorrento's Room or similar), including a full buffet breakfast.
  • Wildlife Encounters: Witness the exciting and educational "Free Flight" Birds of Prey Presentation at Raptor Domain, South Australia's only free-flight display.
  • Eucalyptus Distillery: Visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a delicious two-course lunch, an introductory talk, and a guided tour of South Australia’s only commercial eucalyptus oil distillery.
  • Cider & Honey Tastings: Opt to taste Kangaroo Island Ciders’ Colony Cove products (additional cost) and enjoy an informative tour and tasting at Clifford’s Honey Farm, including honey soft drink and optional Drunken Drone Brewery’s Honey Wheat Ale.
  • Scenic Photo Stop: Capture stunning views at Pennington Bay, a spectacular beach on the south coast.
  • Wine Tasting: Conclude your day with a structured tasting of premium wines at the newly renovated False Cape Wines Cellar Door on the beautiful Dudley Peninsula (or Dudley Wines on specific dates).

  • Duration: 2 Days / 1 Night
  • Operates: Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday (excluding Christmas Day)
  • Accommodation Type: Sorrento's Room at the KI Seafront Hotel, Penneshaw (or alternative hotel with similar standard) with hotel upgrade options available.

Departure & Return Options

From Adelaide City:

  • Departure: Approximately 3:00 PM (actual time to be reconfirmed upon booking). Pick-up from Adelaide CBD hotels.
  • Return: Approximately 10:40 PM on Day 2.

From Cape Jervis:

  • Departure: 9:00 AM on Day 1.
  • Return: 8:15 PM on Day 2.

From Kangaroo Island (for guests with pre-arranged island accommodation):

  • Seafront Hotel, Penneshaw: Departs 10:15 AM (Day 2), Returns 6:45 PM (Day 2).
  • Mercure KI Lodge, American River: Departs 10:25 AM (Day 2), Returns 6:30 PM (Day 2).
  • Aurora Ozone Hotel, Kingscote: Departs 10:15 AM (Day 2), Returns 6:30 PM (Day 2).

Full Itinerary

Day 1: Adelaide → Kangaroo Island Free Day

Your premium coach will pick you up from your Adelaide CBD hotel around 3:00 PM (actual time to be reconfirmed). You'll then head to Cape Jervis to board the ferry for your crossing to Kangaroo Island. Upon arrival, you'll have a free evening to relax and enjoy your stay at the Sorrento's Room at the KI Seafront Hotel, Penneshaw (or similar). Dinner is at your own cost at the hotel.

Transportation

  • Pick up from Hilton, Holiday Inn, Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide (About 6:15-6:30 am Pick up)
  • Meet up point: Adelaide Central Bus Station. 85 Franklin Street, Adelaide, SA 5000 (About 6:45 am Pick up)
  • Make Own way to SeaLink Ferry Terminal - Cape Jervis: Flinders Dr, Cape Jervis SA 5204, Must check in 30 minutes before departure.
  • From Adelaide to Cape Jervis, driving distance around 105 to 120 minutes, please make sure you arrive on time.
  • Guests must arrive at the pick-up location at least 15 minutes before departure. There will be no waiting for late arrivals, and guests will be considered to have forfeited their booking automatically without refund.

Things to Note

  • Prices are per person and valid for travel 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2025, for other dates please enquire.
  • A child is 3-14 years. Infants 0-2 years are free of charge.
  • Itinerary and inclusions are subject to change without notice, especially on days classified as catastrophic fire danger on Kangaroo Island.
  • If you have any special dietary requirements please contact us and let us know.
  • On Island Tours DO NOT include mainland coach transfers or ferry to/from Kangaroo Island. You must be on Kangaroo Island to participate in the Day Tours at the ‘on island’ price. If you require transfers and a ferry please select an alternative option above.

^On Island Departures from Kingscote or American River include:

  • KI Transfers will transfer you from your hotel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery to meet the SeaLink Tour coach which departs from Penneshaw.
  • At the conclusion of the tour in Penneshaw, you will meet the SeaLink Shuttle at the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal that departs at 7pm for your transfer back to American River or Kingscote.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 30days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
