Departing from Cairns, embark on a 1.5-hour journey aboard our air-conditioned catamaran to reach Sunlover Moore Reef Pontoon on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. This pontoon is strategically positioned and fully equipped to ensure that visitors of all ages and abilities can fully immerse themselves in the reef's beauty, featuring vibrant coral, captivating marine life, including turtles, and more.
Spend 2 hours on the reef participating in our complimentary activities, such as snorkelling, enjoying the unique Sunlover waterslide (the only waterslide on the Great Barrier Reef), exploring the underwater world through a glass-bottom boat, letting kids have fun in an enclosed ocean pool, visiting an underwater observatory, getting up close with marine creatures at a touch tank, and experiencing fish feeding. Additionally, you can explore the wonder of the Great Barrier Reef through our Seawalker Helmet Dive and Snorkel Safari Tour or witness it from a bird's-eye perspective during a helicopter scenic flight.
The journey continues with a visit to Fitzroy Island, where lunch will be served. This delightful afternoon stay in this beautiful tropical paradise is a favourite among Cairns locals. Fitzroy Island is 99% covered in lush Tropical Rainforest, complemented by granite outcrops, open woodlands, mangroves, and coral-fringed beaches. Additionally, we provide snorkel equipment as part of this tour.

Day 2:
Fitzroy Island Full-Day Free Activities - Return to Cairns | Check out at 10 am, enjoy a full day of island exploration, and depart from Fitzroy Island at 4:00 pm, returning to Cairns by 4:45 pm.
Today, indulge in a leisurely day of relaxation and exploration. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel (optional, additional cost).
Discover the island's hidden gems. Opt for a serene stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking adventure (additional cost) or explore the secluded Nudey Beach. Embark on a rejuvenating hike from the island's jetty to the century-old lighthouse (approximately 3.6 km round trip) or the island's peak (approximately 1.5 km round trip).
Explore independently:
- Rainforest Hiking Trail: Immerse yourself in nature on a 3.6 km rainforest hike, rewarded with panoramic island views around the lighthouse.
- Turtle Rehabilitation Center: Visit this centre and donate to support their vital work.
Optional Activities (additional cost):
- Dive Shop: Rent snorkelling gear, stand-up paddleboards, and kayaks, or embark on a glass-bottom boat tour.

Fitzroy Island Resort is the island's sole resort, offering 99 luxurious rooms completed to the highest standards in 2010. Exclusive to resort guests, the facilities include Zephyr Restaurant, a resort pool, a swim-up pool bar, a tour desk, air hockey, and a kids' playroom. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the hotel reception common areas.
Please note that Fitzroy Island is a licensed premises, and bringing personal alcohol onto the island is prohibited. Any alcohol brought by guests will be securely held at the resort reception until departure.
For your convenience, check-in time is 3 PM, and check-out is 10 AM. Baggage storage, changing rooms, showers, lockers, and pool towels are available for guests' use.

Events are held from Tuesday to Sunday at 1 pm, and last 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 15 guests, accompanied by a tour guide.

- Turtle Talks are for resort guests only and can be reserved at the front desk
