25-minute Great Barrier Reef Helicopter Flight

Departing Cairns at 12.30pm, you will experience a 25-minute scenic helicopter flight over the Reef and Sand Cays before arriving at our exclusive helicopter pontoon.

​Enjoy a spectacular scenic flight onboard a luxury 6-seater aircraft from Nautilus Aviation. Experience the sheer size and beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and gain a true appreciation of one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Sightings of manta rays, turtles and other marine life are not uncommon on the reef scenic flight and if you’re flying with us in the winter months there is even a chance of spotting whales.

Snorkelling at Hastings Reef & Reef Cruise back to Cairns:

Once you have arrived at Hastings Reef, you will join Down Under Cruise and Dive's Reef Tour, boarding luxury superyacht, Evolution, for your afternoon on the Outer Great Barrier Reef.

You will enjoy 1.5 hours at Hastings Reef. After your safety briefing, it's time to discover the underwater marine world snorkelling with all of the colourful fish, coral and marine life. Take time to relax on three spacious deck levels or in the air-conditioned saloon. Snorkel the Outer Great Barrier Reef with all gear and tuition included.

Then, with a complimentary glass of wine in hand, enjoy a late lunch as you cruise back to Cairns arriving approximately 4.30pm.

Do I need to complete a dive medical?

All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire.

Certified divers must show an internationally recognised scuba card.

  • Minimum age for Introductory divers and dive courses: 12+ years and Certified divers: 10+ years.
  • Please keep in mind that all divers are required to complete a medical questionnaire. In our commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years (or 45 years for PADI dive courses) must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. This can be provided by your own GP before you leave for your holiday.
  • Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and/or prescription medication may prevent some people from diving. Please review our Introductory and Certified Diver Medical Declaration prior to travel. The purpose of this Medical Declaration is to find out if you should be examined by a physician before participating in recreational diving. A positive response to a question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving. A positive response means there is a pre-existing condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must seek the advice of a physician.
  • Scuba diving can be strenuous under certain conditions. Your respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health. All body spaces must be normal and healthy. Please review our Introductory and Certified Diver Medical Declaration prior to travel.
  • In the interests of safety, we recommend no flying within 24hours of the last dive.

Important information:

  • Helicopter: 130kg weight restrictions apply for helicopter rides.
  • Diving: All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire onboard. Certified divers must show an internationally recognised scuba card. Minimum age for Introductory divers and dive courses: 12+ years and Certified divers: 10+ years.
  • Semi-Sub: Please note that due to safety reasons, the Semi Submarine Tour is weather permitting.
  • The helicopter package is recommended to include a maximum of one scuba diving session. If you wish to dive for a second time, it would be subject to "availability on the day" to check if there is enough time, and you may be required to pay an additional fee for the second scuba dive.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
