Hightlights

A well-renowned pearl farm situated at the tip of the Dampier Peninsula, where you can take a tour of the farm, learn about the history of the pearling industry and enjoy a chef-prepared lunch.

This iconic landmark is the northernmost tip of the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley region and is approximately 240km north of Broome. The wide stretches of sandy beaches are known to be the nesting place for wild turtles and several sea birds.

Locations visited:

  • Beagle Bay*
  • Cygnet Bay
  • One Arm Point

*If Beagle Bay is closed, this stop will be replaced with Lombadina.

Just a few kilometres out of Broome, you'll head north on Cape Leveque Road. Travelling over rugged terrain on the unsealed sections of the road, heading further north, you'll stop at One Arm Point. One Arm Point is a remote Indigenous community with amazing views of the Buccaneer Archipelago. The trochus hatchery is here, and you'll have the opportunity to learn about the Bardi Jawi's strong connection to their rich culture and saltwater traditions. Have the opportunity to purchase local art and artefacts (cash only).

Next stop is Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, situated on the tip of the Dampier Peninsula. You'll be able to enjoy a chef-prepared lunch followed by a Pearl Farm Tour. As a family-owned business, it is Australia’s oldest operating Pearl Farm. You'll also have an opportunity to visit their showroom, where you will see some of the finest South Sea Pearls grown and harvested.

Finally, you'll enjoy a one-hour Aboriginal Experience in the afternoon, with Shell Carving or similar.
After bidding farewell to those who have chosen the Scenic Flight (which must be pre-booked), you'll head back to Broome on the coach, arriving approximately at 7:30 pm. A drop off to your hotel is included.

  1. Good way to spend the day

This tour was pleasant, I enjoyed learning about history and the lunch tasted nice. The art and artefacts were also beautiful.
