Wilderness Systems: After careful consideration and trialling different brands and models, we decided to use the Aspire 105 as our single kayak, as it’s safe, stable, comfortable and easy to manoeuvre. It is a high performance kayak that suits beginners and season paddlers both.

Our Double Kayaks: Drifter II

The Drifter II by Safari H20 is the most popular double kayak out there, it’s fun for the whole family as it can easily be paddled just as well by one person or two on board.

Take your child along for a paddle without worrying if they can keep the paddling up, have someone with you that only wants to enjoy the view, or never paddled before? Want to bring your pup for the session? No problem, they can sit at the front, take in the sights, take photos and still have fun! We are one of the only kayak experience companies in Sydney that offer double kayaks.

This boat is extremely comfortable, easy to get in and out of, very stable and glides along the water with minimal effort.

About Sydney Kayak Experience

We are a small, fast upcoming, family run kayak tour providing company from Sydney.

We are the only kayaking company in Sydney Harbour with custom LED lights, the only ones that go out at sunset, and night, on New Year's to see the fireworks from the water, and also over the VIVID light show period. Showing our customers the iconic Sydney landmarks from a different perspective.

We run our sunrise tours earlier than any competitor, and are out there to show our customers the golden glow of dawn.

We also offer Brunch and evening city light paddles, and include breakfast in our morning sessions.

We take amazing photos and videos from the paddlers, so they can just enjoy the tour, provide water and wind proof clothing in the colder months to keep everyone dry and warm.

We've reached 4000 organic followers on Instagram within a year, and have taken over 1000 customers out so far, with over 100 5star google review feedback.

We have multiple launch points depending on the tour that you choose. Your trip will either launch from the Lavender Bay Boat Ramp or Milson Park.

What to Bring : Clothes and shoes that are comfy, and you don’t mind getting wet. A long sleeved rashie works a treat, and board shorts are quite good too! Spare shoes to get changed into after the session. Sunnies and a hat to protect you from the sun A bottle of water
Currency for the tour quotation is in Australian Dollars (AUD). This tour requires a minimum of one person to proceed. What to bring:
Children must be 5 years or older to participate in this tour (children under 5 are not permitted).
Kayaking activity is physically demanding, so make sure to have a full meal before the activity.
All fitness levels are welcome! Couples or children can benefit greatly from our double kayaks! Sit at the front and take it easy, just take photos or take regular breaks paddling, as the double kayaks can be operated and manoeuvred easily by the person sitting in the back alone!
If there is an experience that has specific criteria for paddlers, it will be listed in the booking platform.
Sydney Kayak Experience are an all-weather experience, kayaking during the time of the Sunrise and mid-morning, but cannot guarantee what the sunrise or weather will be. Don’t forget to bring a raincoat in case of rain and dress for the conditions on the day.
The Sydney Kayak Experience team love to kayak, but will postpone tours during electrical storms or during times of extremely high wind. If you have any questions please email us.
If Sydney Kayak Experience have indicated in the previous day weather update email that the kayaking activity is safe to go ahead, but it may be a wet activity, and you would like to reschedule due to possible rain, you can opt to reschedule up until 6pm the night before your tour, for a non-refundable rebooking fee of 15%. This late reschedule fee covers the cost of the Guides that are booked to run the activity that is due to go ahead. This rebooking option is only available if a wet-weather email has been sent by Sydney Kayak Experience and the rebooking is outlined as an option in this email, otherwise, the standard cancellation and no show policy will apply.
